[SweClockers] Nvidia recommends GTX 970 for Call of Duty: Black Ops III at 1080p - Page 2

They have to reccommend a 970 since the 960 is much weaker and they wont recommend a card that isnt from the 900 series.

I enjoyed the beta, ran pretty good for me at 1440p with GTX980.

Lol you are so clueless. Pull your head out of the COD-hating sand and actually do the minimal research before making a post like that. IW and SHG cod games are capped at 90, Treyarch goes up to 200. Treyarch also does an extremely good job of optimization as well. And then all the other little things like 65-120 FOV right from the start, all dedicated servers, mod and map tools, anti-cheat that actually works, actual ping numbers, etc etc. Treyarch cares MUCH more about PC than the other 2 developers. They have a solid history, BO2 was one of the best PC CODs ever made, BO3 will be even better.

That's all apparently good news, will the spacebar still allow me to win the game?

You are right on all parts other than ping. Just because you got an ping meter doesn't mean it's actually worth jack squat when latency is mixed there as well.

I thought the game looked trash. Compare to something like Battlefront. Night and Day difference.

You don't say...

Black ops 3 is still built up on id Tech 3 engine (heavily modified) and Battlefront is actually running on Frostbite 3...You can't even compare them.

enjoy being repeatedly milked by another generic shooter that rehashes the same old product by calling it new by spending majority of its budget on advertisements than game play and optimization.

enjoying spending $100 on a game with bloated requirements, non existent campaign with a short micheal bay script and made with 10yr old recycled crap

https://www.techpowerup.com/217308/black-ops-iii-12-gb-ram-and-gtx-980-ti-not-enough.html

i've gotten wise since the last few cod series. sick of kids that need to prove something by shouting get rekt over the mic for every kill

Posted this in another thread but from 10 mins of singleplayer this morning @ 1080p - high settings - locked 60fps on a OC'd gtx 960 4gb ram

maybe a 970 to max it all out , or maybe multiplayer is more demanding ?

That article is "click bait" man.
I have several friends that were in the beta that had no issues what-so-ever.
A variety of systems too:
Two of them have 970's. One with 8gb DDR3 one with 16gb, both at 1080p. Game ran great.
Another on a 980 w/32gb DDR4 at 1440p, no issues.
There are even members from here in the discussion thread relating to that article that were in the beta and said they had zero issues.

If someone else wants to game, why care? Toxic if you ask me.
Have you seen this game has dedicated servers, modding tools and support etc...
Doesnt that differentiate it from the usual IW and SH games?
Just another 900D
