[Techpowerup]Black Ops III: 12 GB RAM and GTX 980 Ti Not Enough - Page 7

Click bait or not this is why I rarely play on pc nowadays. Bad ports, bad coding, bad optimizations. Rarely have any issues on my PS4, a shame since my 980 TI is just grabbing dust most of the time mad.gif

Huh?

There are maybe 3-4 bad ports on PC a year along with hundreds of other releases. The 3-4 bad ports are usually from the same three publishers.

I kind of feel like most people playing PC/FPS games are on CS or Battlefield. It's a wonder they release COD for PC...some one's buying them I suppose.

But PCs are complicated...all those settings? I'll keep my competitive game play at my couch. wink.gif

Couldn't there be a day one patch that will fix these issues. The game isn't out yet.

There are far worse games out there. AW ran like butter, Bo3 Beta was solid.

Only fired up SP quickly before heading to work, but on a OC'd (1500mhz boost/8000mhz memory) 4gb GTX 960 and a i7-3770 with 8gb system ram - high settings - fps was locked at 60 and no stutter or dips etc. Had a quick look in afterburner and saw VRAM usage was getting close to 4gb.

Maybe pushing up to maximum settings will make my system meltdown , will test further later tonight

I have the same GPU, I use my PC for content creation and only buy multiplat games with SP only (say Fallout4), I wish I can give my PC as much as attention as my PS4 if NFS, AS:S etc not getting delayed.

Those requirements are ridiculous compared to the fidelity the game provides..

This Titanfall ripoff has no chance against the PC fps's anyway. The last enjoyable COD was Modern Warfare, now they're mostly watered down garbage.

If the game is a broken un-optimised turd, then Steam refunds are going to come in handy. Good luck to publishers getting away with what they've been allowed to in the past. If it was doing something exceptional and breaking barriers then i'm all for crazy requirements, but COD? Get out of here..

How would a 4GB HBM FuryX survive this? I'd be eager to see. rolleyes.gif
