Rewiring EVGA 1200W P2

Hey guys, this my first thread on overclock.net and would love to get your input.

I'm currently in the middle of my build:
Caselabs S8 (Gunmetal)
Asrock X99 WS-E
Intel 5820K
MSI G6 GTX 980Ti
Asus Xonar Essence STX II
Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB
2x Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (RAID 0)
M.2 Samsung 850 EVO 256GB
EVGA SuperNOVA 1200W P2
And a whole lot more other stuff including watercooling components, fans, lights, and controller

I want to sleeve my PSU, which is the EVGA SuperNOVA 1200w P2. While i was taking apart the factory sleeving, I noticed 3 capacitors on the 24pin cable (first time seeing this). There are also capacitors on the 8pin CPU and VGA cables.
My issue is that the capacitors are on the component side and not the PSU side, which when sleeved, will be a major eye-soar for me. I want to relocate the capacitors from the component side to the PSU side. I drew up a diagram of the 24pin connector from both ends. I have the capacitors marked as black diagonal rectangles (matching the appropriate orientation for each capacitor).

The first diagram is the MOBO side 24pin connector.

The second diagram is the PSU side connector, with the capacitors moved over. I have moved the capacitors to their corresponding location to the PSU side connector.

My question is, will this function the same? Do the caps have to be on the MOBO side?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The caps are there to keep the ripple so low, they dont have to be there so as long as you dont mind your ripple going up 20-35mv you can just remove them if thats easier.

I would like to keep them on, since that's how the PSU was made to function.
Do you think the relocated caps would be functional based on my diagram?
