TCG OPAL or eDrive compliance is the requirements for using the on-board hardware encryption with windows (bitlocker).

It´s been like this for a long time:

"AES 256-bit encryption is supported with TCG Opal and eDrive support promised, but only in a future firmware update."

Its a feature coming only to the Retail M.2, not the OEMs.

Also, how's it feel having 3 units that have no warranty or support?

Is it warranty with the store? Because Samsung doesnt support OEM products.

Also, RAID 0 on nvme ssds arent beneficial. It just makes big benchmark numbers to make your "e-peen" bigger and doesnt actually run that fast. It also actually increases latency in the drives, which is not a good thing.

3 years from store yes.

It does not look like the latency is too big on the raid-0. Does it? wink.gif 61,5 MB/s 4k random read @ QD=1 is faster than the most ssd's...

High seq read and write is nice to have, it depends in what usage you have. Videoediting vith very big file sizes, then it is beneficial thumb.gif

You're using a synthetic benchmark. It doesn't reflect real world usage.

here's tom's hardware review on using 950 Pros in RAID 0:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/samsung-950-pro-256gb-raid-report,4449-4.html

"After poring over our results, we figured out why a single drive's latency is better than two 950 Pros in RAID 0. In a striped configuration, the array uses Microsoft’s RAID driver and not Samsung’s custom NVMe software. Windows sees the array as an Intel chipset volume. It's possible that Intel might be working on a custom RAID 0 driver, but we aren't counting on it. Fortunately, although Samsung's driver enables lower latency, we doubt anyone will "feel" the difference.

CONS
Increasing performance through RAID 0 no longer has the same shine it once had. NVMe SSDs are fast enough to satisfy the most demanding user needs. We've hit a point where RAID 0 run off of a chipset gives diminishing returns."

I agree with Palorim12.

Its nice to have high benchmarks scores but unfortunately they do not translate in to real world performance, never has been never will be. That is why i hate reviewers that only uses useless synthetic benchmarks to show the people how good the product performs.
