Yes. Also make sure RAID is disabled in the BIOS and you're in AHCI mode. Alsdo make sure you have the most up to date AHCI driver from Intel.

Has there been any mention if a larger capacity version will be released? I'd love to have this drive in say a 1Tb version.

How am i wrong? The Samsung NVME driver installer and Magician dont detect the 950 Pro if raid is on in the BIOS. Ive also noticed some systems where the BIOS or even Windows wont see the 950 Pro unless its in AHCI mode. Regarding the driver, its always good to have the most up to date Intel AHCI driver, so why not make sure its installed.

I received the Alphacool HDX - M.2 SSD M01 heatsink for my 950 Pro that is attached to the m.2 slot of my mobo.

I ran a simple ATTO Disk Benchmark and it still throttled! It performed worse than with 4 Enzotech copper ram heatsinks attached.

Just so you know. I can provide screenshots of temp adn ATTO later/tomorrow.

Hey guys,

I'm looking at getting a 512gb 950 pro for my PC. I've heard of M.2 drives overheating so I was just wondering if you guys have experienced any throttling due to heat. I'm gonna be gaming and programming a lot. I'm going to be using it on a Asus Maximus VII Hero M.2 slot (I think it accepts this drive, but correct me if I'm wrong). Currently overseas but I remember that the M.2 slot is close to the GPU so it might get blocked from high airflow. Am I making the right decision here?
