Anybody try it yet and if so any noticeable improvements?

The driver was released to fix an issue with Hyper-V.

Hello Guys. since yesterday the Magician software is showing that my 950 pro and 850 evo are not supported, everything else seems OK

and no compatibility issues and everything on my PC is up to date including Samsung NVMe Driver, Magician and Windows, has anyone faced this problem?

post #1884 of 1896
Yeah... Me. Well TBH with Samsung 2.2 NVMe drivers, the 950 Pro simply is not listed in Magician 5.00, with Microsoft NVMe drivers it is listed as not supported just like on your screen capture albeit I don't have the serial number being displayed (while Magician 4.9.7 displays it). I have found no fix ATM. Check your log file in the Magician app. Maybe you'll see an error : share with us !

BTW, don't bother reaching out to Samsung support by email they're useless.

In the install directory of Magician, where X is your drive letter : X:\Program Files (x86)\Samsung\Samsung Magician\Log

Open SM5_xxx file. Mine shows for example :

20-04-2017 19:36:43 ERROR SILN00 SIL_DevInfo_SNT::Execute 62 NVMe exception [0] trying treating as scsi device
20-04-2017 19:36:43 ERROR SILN00 SIL_DevInfo_SNT::Execute 77 NVMe exception [0]
20-04-2017 19:36:43 ERROR BDIM DiskInfoManager::ScanOneDevice 174 SIL DiskInfo Execute Failed with error code[6]
20-04-2017 19:36:43 ERROR SILN00 SIL_DevSMART_NVMe::Execute 79 NVMe Cmd Exception [-1]

That doesn't really help me though to nail down the source of the problem frown.gif

After a few reboots everything is normal now, I don't know what happened I didn't even try to fix anything.

So Samsung put online the ISO to upgrade 960 Pro firmware. Great. Sammy can you do the same for 950 Pro ? So the like that are stuck with a Magician not recognizing their SSD could have a chance of upgrading their FW ? xD
