Hello guys,

May you help me with this little problem ?

I have no idea to whats wrong, but check how the name appears on the magician software, could that be related to the nvme driver not picking up as installed ?

I just bought a second one for 1tb raid0 and I really want this fixed.

We can hardly see what it even says bud. Why don't you snip a pic zoomed in on what you are trying to show us. I know some pc's aren't liking the 950 pro. The Asus G752 gaming laptop didn't like it at all. It didn't allow you to install the NVMe driver and the bios was locked in Raid mode even tho it didn't support Raid at all. What brand of motherboard are you using the 950 Pro in?

Also, for the most part, most things aren't even taking advantage of the speeds of the 950 Pro besides benchmarks. Trying to use 2 of them in a Raid 0 isn't going to give you much of an advantage over just having 1 really. I just used a 950 Pro for a month and tested lots of things. My OS seemed nice and snappy and all, but couldn't really see any huge benefits of having the speed over a normal Sata3 ssd for the most part. Some things seemed to be a little quicker, but boot times seemed to be a little slower since it's a PCI-E based drive. Once windows booted, I did notice that all the programs I had that needed to load up at the start did load a little faster, but there wasn't a huge advantage with it. Going to 2 of them in a Raid 0 is pretty much only going to give you twice the space, you won't see anything be faster really.

You know you have a original bottom when you click the image and opens a new tab.

About the raid0, for that I dont need any help at all, thank you anyways, but Im not going to raid for performance just for space, since the 1tb version is taking too long to release.

And I dont care about how it performs against the sata ssd's that not why Im here. Im sorry for being so blunt about it.

Hey guys,

I have a bit of a problem.

Whenever i download something it completely fills up my RAM... I didn't touch the page file but i enabled write caching on the device and enabled write cach buffer flushing in devise manager. I cannot turn this off because when i do i get very low benchmark scores.

Is there a way of disabling this?

in comparison to the Intel 750 NVMe 1.2TB SSD

Man the samsungs are getting off the jump a lot faster than the intel 750's it looks. I didn't know the intels were so slow at the low end or smaller numbers. Samsung's ssd's are really nice that's for sure. I love the 850 Evo's personally. It's probably my favorite ssd to date. The 950 Pro is a total beast in it's own, but just can't wait for some game makers to take advantage of the speeds or maybe a update for windows 10 to take more advantage of how much faster the NVMe ssd's are. There should be a big difference in how fast windows operates if you have your OS on a NVMe ssd. It shouldn't run the same as if it were installed a Sata3 ssd IMO.

I guess we just hope for the better sooner than later right? tongue.gif

The two are different in design and goals. 300k/110k iops vs 460k/290k.

If you are looking for you OS to run "faster" then.... Stick with sata3

Hey,

What size M.2 950 Pro should i get. I will be using the M.2 for OS, Anti Virus, Teamspeak. I will not be moving user folder off because i will only have a few pictures in there and in my documents i will have my game config files.

Steam will be on a seperate 500GB ssd and DCS Flight simulator will be on another 500 SSD

Also how much difference will i see by using the 951 vs the 950
