What size M.2 950 Pro should i get. I will be using the M.2 for OS, Anti Virus, Teamspeak. I will not be moving user folder off because i will only have a few pictures in there and in my documents i will have my game config files.

Steam will be on a seperate 500GB ssd and DCS Flight simulator will be on another 500 SSD

Also how much difference will i see by using the 951 vs the 950

950 is newer than the old 951, you should be looking at the 950 as the temps are lower.

256gb = 900mb/s write and 2200mb/s read
512gb = 1500mb/s write and 2500mb/s read

It's your call on how fast you want the rated speed to be. You need to understand where and when you will see or get that speed though.

May you help me with this little problem ?

I have no idea to whats wrong, but check how the name appears on the magician software, could that be related to the nvme driver not picking up as installed ?

I just bought a second one for 1tb raid0 and I really want this fixed.

Nevermind guys I already fixed it. Thanks a lot for your help.
I guess this forum its just like any other, all talk, no knowledge.

Being rude and saying there's no knowledge won't get you far for trying to get help. Not everyone is jumping to aid people on a Sunday over spending time with their families I'm sure. Give it some time and people will help. Or use google some and you'll figure it out like you did.

So wait a sec....

you have just joined this forum... likely have contributed NOTHING...yet you expect to receive instant answer? are we your tech support?

You expect people here to be experts in the Samsung software?

You sound like a guy that just buys technology and expects it to "go fast" because I bought it.

watch the door as you leave, wouldn't want it to hit you on the way out,

Your problem is because you are most likely in RAID mode. Magician and the NVME driver will only detect the 950 Pro, if you are in AHCI mode.

A 256gb will suffice just perfectly for you! However the 512gb like the guy at the top of the pages says... it gives MOAR write speed!

Thanks mate, that was exatly what was wrong.
But I figured it out.
I did tried inicially to install as AHCI but didnt work, only after windows installed I changed the bios and it worked, allthough theres no difference in performance it was just because I wanted the way its meant to be in the device manager. The "samsung nvme driver" or whatever.

Quick note to the faster because you buy it bull****. I bought it because it takes less space and lot less cables.

If you haven't bought it for the speed, why didnt you buy the Sandisk 1tb X400? Its cheaper than a single 512gb 950 Pro plus you dont need two to get the space you want!

Yeah I noticed the 950 pro is a but slower on boot. I have a 1tb 850 pro as a games disk now. Before it was the main drive and it was actually discovered faster etc. My VMware stuff is alot faster though 😁. (X99) Disk was fine btw with crystal benchmark and the Samsung benchmark is single threaded indeed.

I have a 512Gb 950 Pro in an Asus Maximus VIII Formula (z170) motherboard.
I've noticed it's a bit slow to start all right, slower than my comparatively ancient 80Gb Intel X25-M redface.gif
There seems to be a pause at the start of the boot process during which the motherboard diagnostic code is d4.
d4 apparently means "PCI resource allocation error - Out of resources"
The 950 is the only PCI thing connected to the motherboard as I've been using the Intel graphics while setting stuff up so there isn't even a discrete GPU yet.

Looking around the net other people have had the same problem but no one seems to have a solution yet.
So if anyone here has any suggestions let me know.
