All video games should come mandatory 90day no hassle refund, as piracy "just build games worth buying, and not overpriced fluff!"

There are unfortunately far too many dishonest & greedy people for that to work. 90 days and you can beat most games multiple times assuming you have even an hour or two a night at most to play...

Day one it ran pretty well in crossfire on my rig. Then they released a patch to "fix" i5 issues, now crossfire is a hot mess. Luckily I picked it up on PS4 as well, so I will just play the campaign and couch coop zombies on that, and hopefully it will be fixed by the time I want to play mp and the mods come out. Uses roughly 12 gigs of ram on my pic and 4gb of vram no matter the resolution...weird. Also at 1440p gpu usage is spasmodic going from 0 to 100% with massive stuttering. Raise the resolution and gpu usage is way more consistent and it takes a while for the stuttering to come back. Turn off crossfire and it's smooth.

Campaign is pretty standard fair, I like dude bro shooter campaigns though.

But that's some pretty bad throttling if it is... which leads me to realistically think this simply needs to be rebenched or we can we can wait on other sites results to get a better idea. Wouldn't be the first time a gpu scores were way out of place and posted online

I know what you mean. I wasn't saying that a tiny difference in memory clocks will give you that gain in a "normal" game, as we've seen time and time again, a 390x is more or less just a 290x with 8GB Vram.

I meant that this games problems seem to stem from memory issues/Vram issues, and maybe the slightly different clock speeds are alleviating those issues somehow.

But as you and others have pointed out, it's probably throttling, have any other sites benched this game yet?

aren't all games designed on PC? I don't understand why the PC versions usually have the most issues.

When BF4 came out though people said it was a mess. This was even on consoles. Now it's fine. Hopefully they fix this game up but hey STAR WARS is coming!

They aren't "designed" for pc. Development is always done on either windows or OSX (or linux) and there is a leading platform (or two) after which come ports. In the case of CoD, leading platforms are the two consoles, obviously. In the case of battlefields, leading platform is Windows, for example. Developing on "PC" doesn't matter all that much when you code for Android,iOS,PS4,Xbone etc.

Also the COD series sells better on consoles. So the PC QA team is probably smaller and you have less resources going towards optimizations for PC version of the game.

Thanks to you and the other guys who replied!

I knew they focus on consoles (as they sell better), just didn't know why it was such a mess on PC and you guys cleared that up!

Thanks and reps!

Played the Beta on PC and just can't understand why this is such a hott mess of framerates on the Final Version. (I bought it on PS4 already, Runs Great BTW)

Played the Beta at 4.4Ghz OC on my 5930k and 980Sc in SLI.

Was Easily hitting 100FPS all Day at 1440p. The Vram was Maxed and the Ram usage for the game was around the 6gb Mark (Out of my 16Gb)

I just played this game at a friends house on Xbox One, and it looked horrible. Single person playing is pretty blurry with low textures and is obviously upscaled to 1080p. Split screen is unplayable since everything is so blurry. Any people beyond 50 feet blend into the background blur so it's impossible to play. On a 42' screen TV the text was very hard to read because it was so small and blurry even sitting 3 feet away from the TV. Then there was tons of frame drops into the low 20s, maybe even teens.

I know it's console and the weaker Xbox One at that, but this cant all be blamed on the console itself. The game looks horrible on the settings they went with, and the frame rate is also bad so it doesn't even make up for the low visuals. On my Xbox One I play games like Forza 6 that look good and hold 60FPS and is true 1080p. There is some serious optimization issues with this game.

surprising, it actually looks really good on the PS4.. I am playing it on a 55" 1080p tv and have no issues. Split screen text is kind of tiny, but that is expected since it a screen split lol. Other than that it is great. Much more enjoyable than it has been on the PC for me. I am pretty confident they will get the PC issues straightened out eventually though.

the maps aren't really that big (talking about multiplayer here) and to be honest the game isn't that sophisticated. It Should run alot higher then that. For a 980Ti it should be getting well over 110 at 1080p. Just my opinion since the game is still not that much different from the last (bo2)
