Upgrading from a G400s, should I get a G402 or a G502?

Thread Starter
I've been using the G400s for more than a year but the buttons are too worn out, so I'm looking to buy a new mouse. I'm currently between the G402 and the G502. The G402 seems like the logical choice since it's the direct replacement to the G400s, but the G502 caught my attention too because of the 3366 sensor, I don't really trust that "gyroscope" thing on the G402.

Would you say shape-wise I can easily go from the G400s to the G502? I use a claw/fingertip kind of grip on my G400s, I put my ring and pinky finger on the right side of the mouse (not next to the right button like it's supposed to be) the lip is a little bit annoying but it isn't that uncomfortable for me

G402 because the gyro works (check Ino's review on it) and its a fair bit lighter than the G502. The G502 is more of a claw grip shaped mouse and G402 is more of a palm grip shaped mouse.

Go for G402 if you're comfortable with G400s.

Yet, G400s sounds pretty bad for a claw/fingertip hybrid, maybe check out G303 if you can.

Dont buy it tho if the shape doesn't work for you. If you take it out of the box and it rattles return it to your local retailer ASAP.

Why don't you trust the gyroscope?

Anyways, the G402 makes the most sense considering your grip.

You should find another G400.

I used to use a g400/ mx518 shine forever and i hated the g402. No spot to rest my ring finger next to the right mouse button. But you might like it since u dont use the ledge

If only between 502 and 402 it should be 402. But I'd really go with 303 if you can learn to like the shape.

I went from a deathadder 2013 to a g502. The shape is different but the sensor was worth it to get the hang of the shape!

I vote 402. I bought one just because it was cheaper and so far I have not regretted my decision. Haven't had a single issue and tracks wonderfully. Great mouse for only $40.
