Was playing gta sa on my phone when it started to get laggy. The phone was hooked to my tv using MHL and i was using the DS4 controller. I went grabbed the phone to look at the screen and was surpised it was so warm. My lasar reader read 115f. Taken at the top of the phone/ screen side. I heard the 810 octacore got hot but idk lol, what you think? Too hot?

I snapped a few pics to show. Carl is facing a wall not moving so the temp dropped a few degrees vs my running around shooting and all that.

How long do you think a phone will last getting this hot all the time.

I'd be careful with the latest Snapdragon 810 SOC. I heard they get really hot and throttle even when using for regular multimedia jobs. They sort of overheat and there's a v2.1 revision that may cure this, but there's not review of it on the web that I can find that compare this

It looks like its time for you to build your own customised cooling solution for your phone.

No, I'm not kidding, my Huawei P6 fits perfectly underneath a stock Intel cooler (with some shaving). Manage to lower the temperature by 10 deg Celcius.
