Factory Reset Breaks my LG 24M45?

Thread Starter
I did a reset in the menu of my LG 24M45 monitor just to get it back to factory defaults so that I could change the settings from that point.

However, I can no longer get an image on the screen.

If I switch the monitor off and on then there is an image for less than a second before it goes.

I have plugged my second monitor into the first monitor's HDMI cable and it works so it is not the cable nor the card that is at fault. I have plugged the HDMI cable for monitor two into monitor one but it still does not display an image for longer than a second.

I can only assume that by doing the rest that I have done something to affect monitor one but I am at a loss as to what to do now.

Has anyone come across this problem before and found a solution?

Thanks.

Do a factory reset again and unplug the monitor from the mains for 10 minutes.
Then plug it back into the AC power and try again.

I powered off the monitor for over an hour.

I am unable to do another reset as the monitor won't show any image be it desktop or menu screen.

Did you unplug the monitor from the wall?

If so then sorry I couldn't help frown.gif Just have to RMA
However that sort of scares me....are all of those exact model monitors affected like that, if people do factory resets?

Yes, everything was disconnected.

I dare not try a reset on my second monitor for fear of the same thing happening.

I have placed a support call to LG. The monitor might still be under warranty.

Are you running some higher refresh rates or weird resolution or something off of your graphics card? Set that to defaults too.
