Download (Select your GPU then select your OS)

It is highly recommended to run DDU to uninstall the previous driver in safe mode and get rid of all files and registry remnants before installing the new driver. Even if you think you don't need this, I highly recommended just to eliminate any possible issues

Potential bug with G-Sync on the new driver.

I've been playing Far Cry 4 with the new driver and randomly the screen will go black, the LED which indicates G-Sync is running on my monitor goes White (off) then Red (On) and there's no picture. (Asus ROG Swift)

There's no way to get the image back, having to force close the session. I've found lately with the newer drivers G-Sync has been extremely buggy.

That is for sure, the latest drivers after 353.62 are all buggy. nVIDIA Cannot get its own technology to work properly.

For me it crashes Windows Aero in 7.

It works but Aero doesn't and that's not right.
Maybe I need some updates?

I only have SP1 and a few other things I needed (for IME and USB)

Make sure you don't have IE 10 or IE 11 installed or KB2670838 (The EVIL Update, breaks AERO on Windows 7 and makes some fonts on websites fuzzy, Windows 7 specific update only, do not install IE10 or 11 otherwise it will be bundled with them, IE9 is the max version you should install)

If IE 10 or 11 is installed they automatically install KB2670838 as well so I ensure to hide IE 10/11 when they appear in Windows updates.

If it didn't come with Windows 7, I don't have it. I don't know what 7 comes with...it's just what I use to download firefox.
Do you think I need to update?

Some updates are actually good, a lot of security updates as well which if not updated, leaves your system vulnerable.

But recently Microsoft has been releasing very bad updates that either enable telemetry in your OS to send them your usage habits/app usage/etc. or it prepares your computer to automatically be updated to Windows 10 which you may not want.

Before updating, set your Windows Update to check for updates but don't download or install automatically. After checking for updates, you MUST read this thread that I created on NBR forums ( Updates to hide to prevent Windows 10 Upgrade / Disable Telemetry ) carefully and turn on EAGLE MODE to ensure you are only selecting the good updates, the full list is there. Also, don't install all updates together, do the security updates first then reboot, then install all .NET Framework updates, then reboot, then do the Updates for Windows after checking each one against the list and if it's bad, right click on it and select HIDE Update then reboot, then install the rest of the updates then reboot. If you try to install them all at once, they will fail.

I can confirm it has indeed.

Heaven 4.0 has lowered by 1.3FPS. Yes it's not a substantial amount, but lower nonetheless. I've mainly got driver instability with G-Sync just disconnecting and losing the games picture, with no way to make it come back.

The latest 358.91 drivers has the same high idle temperature problem on the system in signature than previous 358.87 drivers.

Cards idles at 60c because fans start but it's way higher than normal, I see 20W more on the AC too.

the most recent drivers where I don't have high idle temperature problem is 358.50.

will nvidia make it right next time?
