I'm waiting for Pascal to see my options in terms of gfx card upgrade; so I'm stuck with my GTX 670 for the time being.

It is my understanding that the GTX 670 does not support HDMI 2.0. Only the Maxwell chip sets GTX 950 and about support HDMI 2.0.

I'm about to buy the Accell, but I don't expect that it will let me see 60 Hz or prevent my HP laptop from entering a nonwakable sleep when I close the lid. Heck, i didn't have the latter problem with my HDMI 1.4 adapters. But but those adapters gave me only 4:2:2 color.

What "depends less on the adapter" - is it no-awakening laptop state? How exactly you determine that laptop doesn't enter awaken state? Any keyboard lights, image on laptop display, image on a connected via HDMI TV? Do you use both these display simultaneously - in what Windows Display mode? Does it awake, if you disconnect the TV and reboot, then go to sleep?

Can you awake the laptop after putting it to sleep by selecting Windows-Shutdown-Sleep on the Taskbar without closing its lid? If YES, in Win 10 open Power Options - "Current Plan" - Change Plan Settings - Change Advanced Power Settings, look through Sleep & Power Buttons and Lid options, and choose the right ones. Also in USB Settings disable USB selective suspend, in PCI Express - disable Link State Power Management. If you power laptop via a Power Adapter, these settings should usually be disabled, otherwise peripheral devices may be affected, in particular by entering a sleep mode, and then affect awakening. Also look through other settings in Power Options.

If still no awakening after sleep, list here all relevant options you selected.

But the display port supports it, which's why I'm using the DP 1.2 - HDMI 2.0 adapter.

But I don't believe the DP on a GTX 670 is DP 1.3 Thats what you need. I could be wrong.

Just a guess.

As far as I know there's no graphics card that supports 1.3 that you can buy, yet.

DP 1.2 supports 4K @ 60HZ, I was running it fine for a while using 3d club adapter on my old GTX 670; but it stopped for some reason after reinstalling nvidia drivers.

Hi... Did you run the NVidia Driver cleaner and then reinstall the driver?

http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

My NVidia Titan is also DP 1.2 and the 3D Club adapter works fine at 4K/60 4:4:4.

Dual DVI port can only pass 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 maxed, and only if such mode is enabled in a given GPU. rolleyes.gif

Yup, uninstalled all entries under programs & features, then ran the driver cleaner in safe mode and everything. I even reinstalled windows 10 (clean install). I sent 3d club an email; hopefully they have a solution seeing as amazon don't have the adapter in stock!

Yesterday I experienced something witch was already reported in an other thread and this was with a new computer directly from a Nvidia 970 hdmi 2.0, all of sudden it got the Halloween fonts I turned off the seiki every thing came back fine for 10 minutes, then I got the image split in two half horizontally the top one was OK and the bottom one got completely fill out with vertical line, I turned off the TV for 15 minutes and it was OK again. Since this the HDMI issue did not come back but I opened a ticket with seiki CSR. I think it has to do probably with heating components and bad design because yesterday the weather was pretty warm in California

Well, I managed to get this thing running @ 2160P 60HZ, FINALLY biggrin.gif

I played with a bunch of custom resolution timings under nvidia CP, and what did the trick was the "CVT reduced blank" setting when creating custom resolution as far as I can tell.

Using a fairly thin, old, 1.3 labeled HDMI cable; no problem. I'm returning the other thick cables I ordered as well.

Edit: When I had the TV running @ 30HZ I didn't have any trouble passing audio from my system using 3d club adapter, to HDMI,to the TV, then headphone jack on TV to my Presonus C4.5 speakers. Now that the TV is running @ 60HZ, I don't have sounds! Under Nvidia CP audio options, it doesn't show my TV; nor under windows sounds. Oh well, I can hook up my system directly to my speakers.

windows 10 X64 PRO, GTX 670, Club 3d DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapter.
