I wish people would stop buying games on day one. Maybe if everyone stopped buying them, developers would put a tad more effort into bug fixing.

Just imagine it, the first week a game has been out, sales are at an all time low just because the developer couldn't be bothered to fix their game! I know this is a Bethesda game, a large open world game, but that isn't an excuse. Not to me.

That would actually have an opposite effect...

it rarely has anything to do with luck, and everything to do with how you care for your computer.

slapping together a watercooled rig, disabling page file & running AdBlock (which is what the majority of gamers do) just doesn't cut it.

YES, there are definitely people out there that actually take proper care of their stuff, and have good hardware, but still experience issues. Sadly, they're typically in the minority if you actually spend time trying to help people resolve their issues. The best part of all of this is how offended all of YOU PEOPLE get when people start questioning your rig, instead of the game.

y'all might be surprised by the number of people that run woefully out of date operating systems, like pre SP1 win7 installs n such.

once again, not saying this is everyone, or even 50% of the people, just that there tends to be a common trend in steam bug report threads when it comes to these busted arsed day one releases. Suffice to say, you shouldn't blame bethesda if you're on a pirated win7 install that's never been updated.

Any buying them day one doesn't? I suppose if EVERYONE stopped buying them day one, developers would just stop making those games, sure. But if we keep giving them our money for broken products, how is that any better?

Buying day one doesn't do good or bad. If there was 0 sales on day one:
a) No bugs discovered = no bugs fixed
b) Failure of a game means transfer of manpower and/or bankruptcy for some.
Dev "a" made a bugged game. Dev "a" gets bombarded by reports and fixes bugs or get bombarded with refunds... huge sample gives to dev wide variety of bugs... granted that beta is more suited for that.

So I got some ideas why it doesn't change anything and can actually yield a negative impact on everyone. Now, please, do share how not buying game on 1st day will benefit everyone vs buying game on "2nd" day.

See this is why I rarely buy new games. I'll put this on my wishlist and buy it in a year or two. I currently have multiple games on the go, multiple games on my wishlist, and not to mention a life outside of playing games. No need to pay more for a buggy release day game.

I still have most of the 2015 releases to finish before I buy this, and honestly? It's starting to sound like Bethesda failed @ what they're normally REALLY good at, which is using the same successful formula.

See, I don't have impulse control, and a massive backlog of brand new games I've yet to touch. At the least, I must finish the new batman, GTA-V, & The Witcher 3 before I touch FO4.

User reviews are absolutely panning this game on metacritic. Fallout of a different sort...
