Maybe they will fix things, maybe they won't...

Because it's Bethesda. Even people got lied to their face they still gladly keep buying their products because of reasons.

Just like EA and Ubisoft and many others in the past that always get a free pass whenever something goes wrong.

Such a ridiculously simple minded post. Who was lied? About what? People buy Fallout 4, because they like the franchise and they enjoy the game. We keep playing the game, because it is FUN and how FUN it is outweighs the 1-2 bugs we have encountered so far. There have been ZERO game breaking bugs that I have ran into and a couple of navmesh bugs that can be reasonably expected in a game with the scope of world that Fallout has.

who was lied to about what exactly?

don't confuse marketing with lying, it's your fault if you buy into the hype train.

"itz not gud" is subjective.

Bethesda said on their twitter that there won't be a 60fps cap on PC. Then they released it without the option (at least without editing it in the INI files) to turn vsync off. When you do turn it off, the game speeds up if the frame rate goes over 60fps.

So where did they lie?

Right where it becomes pretty much unplayable over 60fps and that you have to edit files to run it over 60fps.

It sounds like a frame rate cap to me. Just like the same thing counted as a frame rate cap for Need For Speed: Rivals.

So what your saying is that they didn't lie as you still have the option to tweak it in not only the ini settings, but you can also disable vsync and set your own FPS cap? They said that there was on 60fps cap in your own words and again, in your own words, you are saying you can easily tweak the very accessible ini files to run over 60fps. There is no lie.

Ok, sure, you can technically remove the frame cap, using unofficial workarounds, but doing so makes the game unplayable. Come on now, don't be that pedantic semantics arguing dirtbag. You're better than that.

If I sell you a product, let's say a computer fan, and I claim "it is capable of 9000 RPM", and it turns out it is only capable of 9000 RPM when you manually replace the motor, circuitry, and power cables with a stronger ones, using your own electrical engineering skills, and then the cheap plastic fins sheer off and create a shrapnel storm in your case, destroying your nice Titan X... would you consider that acceptable?

Everyone same thing in NFS: Rivals, GTA 3, VC and SA, and a few other games counts as a frame rate cap, but it doesn't count as a cap in FO4 because it's a game from Bethesda rolleyes.gif

The actual quote from them is this
Quote:
Fallout 4 is 1080p & 30fps on Xbox One and PS4. Resolution and FPS are not limited in any way on the PC.

https://twitter.com/bethesda/status/613008088824741888

If the game engine is tied to the frame rate (which it is in FO4), there is no way to run it over a certain frame rate officially (which FO4 does), then there is a frame rate cap.

Let me guess, the game being sped up when running over 60fps is a feature to help you with speedruns right? rolleyes.gif

If the same thing happened with GTA V, Star Wars: Battlefront, Assassins Creed, Call of Duty, etc. people would have been furious. But since everything Bethesda does is perfect, bugs, glitches and game engine being tied to the frame rate = hilarious and/or features.

looks normal seems normal to me, i don't know what you guys are talking about but the game here runs just fine
