These things are NEVER getting fixed, and are pretty important to many users. Just saying.

When has a fps physics problem ever been fixed by a patch? I've played with vsync off back when I had my 7970ghz and I was OK. The cart ride gets screwed up, in a mod opening doors causes clutter to spazz out, but that was it. I played the vanilla game to create a 100% completionist save game, the times where I crashed where from using Coc commands over and over, and even then, they were rare.

Playing Skyrim with like 200 esps now, and crashing losing progress was not really a problem. I quicksave before a fight too, that further cuts down any loss should it occur. Your experience simply isn't anything like mine. 4k textures out the wazoo, and civil wars from Immersive Patrols, etc.

The thing that would cause crashes every 10 minutes that I can think of would be 2k textures or above without Sheshon's patch, but that got incorporated into SKSE, and only became a problem from using very high resolution textures (not applicable to vanilla game).

Now, switching to the paid mods topic:

Bethesda talked about it a few years ago, decided it would be too difficult to price, and shelved the idea.

Instead, they took a look at some of the most popular free mods at the time, and made paid DLCs based heavily on the work of their fans.

Steam then reintroduced the topic recently and Bethesda was 100% on board. Gamers said no, and Bethesda defended it. Steam pulled the plug, so Bethesda limped off with it's tail between its legs.

A few months ago, Bethesda stated they were going to revisit paid mods after FO4 releases (so, you know, now).

I'm not even sure if I want or don't want paid mods. But for now, if the majority of gamers don't want it, then I don't think it should be. I do disagree with the way the payment was to be split however.

Whatever, I'm tired (in general and of this topic). We can agree to disagree.

Gamers after years of awful pc game launches, pre-order bribes, etc: "We finally get it, no more preorders! No more blind trust for developers or franchises just because a decent game was released under the same name in the past. Let's actually wait for reviews and show the industry that we will only buy games based on their own merit, and that releasing inferior games will no longer be a viable buisness stragagy!"

Bethesda announces FO4: "OMG OMG BEST THING EVER DAY ONE PREORDER OMG I CAN'T WAIT! Sure, Bethesda has never actually made a finished game before, and instead relies on nostalgia, double standards, and community made fixes, but I DON'T CARE IT'S FALLOUT SO IT'S GREAT!"

Update to Creation engine (same engine used in Skyrim, which in turn was just a customized version of Gamebryo) announced: "Ah, see? There is a brand new engine, so it will solve all the problems Bethesda games have ever had in the past! Don't bother looking at anything they've done before, this is a NEW ENGINE so everything is different!"

Creation engine updates specified (a couple new graphics features, an unknown AKA minor ammount of 64bit code, and some small changes to the editor to allow live editing features such as the house building mechanic. Not a single change to the core engine): "Yeah well you see the only problem Bethesda ever had in the past was poor graphics. Adding new graphics features will fix everything!"

Screenshots are released, showing the game to look quite dated, similar to Skyrim on launch and far behind Oblivion and Morrowind (lets not forget these two games were literally used as the golden standards for graphics before Crysis) levels of graphics for their ages: "Bah, who cares, no one cares about graphics at all. Anyone who does is an immature manchild. And besides, it looks pretty good right? It's so much better looking than games I normally play on my Nintendo 3DS! Best graphics ever!"

People start playing the game and showing it for the bug riddled, broken, bland looking mess it really is: "Shaddup, I can't hear you. LALALALALALALA! Game works great for me, it only crashed three times in my first five minuits, that's great for a Bethesda game, right? I mean, everyone KNEW it would be really buggy because Bethesda games always are, so it's fine right? RIGHT? Look, I haven't actually played it yet, but I still like the game and my subjective preformed opinions overides other peoples' informed opinions as well as just plain objective facts. Just deal with it, I don't care! Leave Bethesda alone!"

Pure comedic gold.

I rarely save in Skyrim these days. Sure, I do rarely get CTDs, but that gets covered by autosave (unless I go on a long trip). Saving before a fight is also useless to me since I have Dead is Dead.

Don't hold your breath.

The high FPS and physics issues aren't really a problem in F4 like they were in Skyrim. I have mine locked at 100 and there are no issues with the physics, just played another ~2hr stint and there were 0 physics issues, whereas in skyrim anything above 60 and all hell would break loose. Like I mentioned earlier only when I had my FPS unlocked (was getting ~140-150) would I have issues, but not physics, the game seemed to speed up..
