Pre-built computers can not be overclocked.
Dell removed all the overclocking options from the BIOS.

That being said, you could try SetFSB.
But be forewarned - If you don't know what you're doing (ie. if you don't know how to overclock) you could easily brick your computer with it.

i went into the bios, i did notice i am able to change the CPU clock ratio anywhere from 6x to 60x with 7x being the default, i moved it to 10x but as far as i was able to tell it was still at 2.3ghz, unless i was reading it wrong. i have since moved it back to 7x. would changing that from 7x do anything positive?

CPU-Z will tell you what changed.

Multiplier (what you changed, if it actually did change) times Bus Speed = CPU speed (CPU-Z calls it core speed).
The memory tab shows the speed at which the memory is running.

Dells can't be overclocked in the BIOS. I don't know what you're seeing or what it does.
Have you tried reading the Owner's Manual about BIOS settings?
It can be downloaded from Dell with your Service Tag (automatically) or you can use the Dell utility, or you can search manually.
