Edit: It now refuses to make available the new update. Check for updates shows nothing new

from what iv seen id recommend removing any SD cards and un-needed USB from the PC before ruing the install

Why no LTSB update? (Sorry if this was answered already).

Also, I don't know if this will help, but you guys might want to check out Device Remover. It's like Device Manager on steroids. It works on Windows 10.

A guy on Windows 10 thread (OCN) has the same issue and found a fix. Ask your question on that thread. thumb.gif

I did exactly the same steps as I've done with RTM few days ago both installed with a clean install (format). Installed W10, installed Nvidia drivers then pressed Windows Update. In RTM it downloaded the old Nvidia drivers even when I had the newer installed. And every time I uninstalled them and rebooted they got installed again automatically. It was nightmare. It did it 4 more and I couldn't stop it even with the MS WU block tool. And it also tried to download and install wrong Intel chipset driver which it failed to install. Now I did the same process but after clicking Windows Update it did not download any kind of drivers. No Nvidia drivers, no Intel driver nothing. I installed the correct ones manually. Also in this build the option to disable Device Installation auto download drivers setting under "Advanced System Settings" it's gone. I don't say MS fixed WU maybe I was extremely lucky I don't know. I'm just happy my install went smoothly. They seriously need to fix the windows updates. For me this is a far worse thing than the spyware settings. Because they can't even spy on me when I can't even install my drivers correctly and get the PC to work. Windows 10 now feels smoother and lot less "Beta" but there is till work to be done. They seriously need to fix that bloody WU system and give us option to select what to be installed and what not. And ofc they must make clearer what they do with the data and why it can't be turned off. I'm really ok with data collection to a point. They must give the option to opt out fully.

When icons are redrawn after using "Task View", they're redrawn with drop shadows even if you have drop shadows disabled.
Microsoft, please.

Ouch, still sounds like the Updates are a mess. Think I'm still going to stay on 7 for way bit longer on the main rig.

It just keeps downloading it, restarts my comp, does the installation. After installation my Window reverts back to old build. Not sure what is going on.

I have no issues on 10240 build anyway. But I like to have the newest updates for security.

Drivers keep installing no matter what. Show Hide Update tool won't stop it. I'm getting very angry with this. My system is now full of junk after a fresh format.
