Macho rev.B vs Archon IB-E X2

Hi,

Which cooler, between a Macho rev.B and Archon IB-E X2, would perform best on a i5-6600K?

Thanks.

I can virtually guarantee either will perform suitably. I would make the argument that the heatsink on the Macho is better performing, but you might have mild differences in cooling ability based on the packaged fans and total case airflow. Honestly, just get whichever you prefer (cheaper, easier to install, easier to acquire, looks cooler, whatever).

What gftgy said
Archon IB-E generally give a few degrees better cooling. 2x fans do help. But both are quite good.

Have you looked at the TRUE Spirit 140 coolers? Also very good and TRUE Spirit 140 Rev. A has offset base like Archon IB-E.

Get the one you like the looks of best.

Thanks for your help guys. Well, I guess I'd go with the Macho then, cause it's almost 30€ cheaper

No, it's close but not as good. But it is usually quite a bit lower priced than Archon IB-E

Ok then, gonna stick with the Macho thumb.gif

Also, a little side question (not to start a new thread) : are Nanoxia FX EVO quality fans?

I'm looking for some decent 140mm case fans, these ones are really cheap, but they seem to get good user reviews

I have no experience with Nanoxia fans .. other than what came in Deep Silence 2 and Deep Silence 4 cases, but they seem to be okay. Hardware.FR tested them. Their graph is interactive. Hi-light fans of interest in list to see their graphs. I only use the results on radiators because it is more like how we use fans .. We always have some resistance to airflow .. vent grills, filters, coolers, etc.

I usually use Thermalright TY-14x series fans. Even make them square when needed.

For great 140mm fans that won't break the bank, I usually recommend the Phanteks PH-F140SP. They're $13.43 each with free shipping right now using the Promo code EMCKBKN34 when you order two or more. They also come in LED variants, if that's your thing.
