Addionics adapter $23, Koolance MVR-40 $35, thermal transfer tape $5, fittings free because I had them, and a dab of JB Weld on the screws for mounting. I haven't tried it yet, just waiting for the JB Weld to cure then I have to put it in my loop.

I don't expect anything crazy, but I feel like keeping the drive cool will help with longevity and maybe a bump in performance under load.

mine with copper heatsinks

I have one of those, but I won't use it in a chassis.

Great for testing parts "Before Water" and for back up. thumb.gif

Custom EK Water kind of sort of kicks its ass. thumb.gif

The water solution is made but from what I gather isn't available. Delivery Date Exceeded. WTH ever that means. rolleyes.gif

79C under the VIII Formula "PLASTIC" panel just isn't cutting it. Might I add that's with a 79CFM 120mm fan placed directly against the panel and blowing on it running Crystal Mark. Drive idles at 59C. I can only get close to the stated specs on the first test in Mark everything else goes to crap. Thank you Asus for your piss poor design with stuffing a smoking hot drive under a plastic panel instead of a passive heatsink aluminum one. mad.gif

Yep this $400 (I paid $330 through Superbiiz promo) board isn't worth more then a Hero with this crap design. madsmiley.png

I have these coming for temporary from Amazon if they ever leave the packaging stage. Until then my upgraded game rig is a huge paperweight.

Those Enzotech sinks are 14x14mm and a bit small for the purpose (20x20 would be better, the NVMe PCB is 22mm wide)
I use dirt cheap 20x20mm alu heatsinks I got off eBay (like $2 total) attached by Gelid Extreme thermal paste (the paste alone keeps them in place just fine. The drive idles at 30:ish and have never been above 55c during stress test.

They aren't that much smaller and those members that use them see a vast decrease in temps anyway. I don't want some ugly aluminum in my build considering it's custom and there is a theme. What your talking about is probably just a slab of aluminum heatsink (silver in color) To keep with the theme and not make it stand out anymore then it will already (the stupid pci card) I can't have some shiny silver hunk sitting in there. LOL

Picture's with test results here granted the OEM drive but still.
A different member

If you have the ability (clearance) this is also an option lol Case as the heatsink

Well, pardon me for making a suggestion then. Yes, they are aluminium but, no, they are NOT silver (anodized flat black). As for the reported test results using those, as stated my test results using mine are actually better (both idle and full load results are lower).
