My copy had severe sensor rattle. It was so bad that slightly swiping left or right resulted in the cursor continuing even further.

So I expressed my discontent on Fnatic Gear's site and sent in my review (1 out of 5 stars). To remedy the solution, they sent me a brand new one free (at the expense of not publishing my negative review on their site) and this copy has no rattle at all now. The lift off distance is still crappy though. Overall, it's an okay mouse. The / \ shape doesn't feel like a natural shape for a hybrid claw gripper like myself. It actually cramps up my wrist more than my Logitech G303 does (and that mouse's shape is unorthodox as well).

Anybody get news from Fnatic Gear regarding firmware updates for the lift-off distance issue for this mouse? I pretty much put it back in the box to await that update. It's a decent mouse but my play style involves a lot of swiping and the poor lift off distance pretty much ruins my performance in games.

I was just emailing them to get mine replaced and they're sending me a new one Monday. I asked if the lod was fixed and he said it was, so I have no idea if I'm getting some new batch or if he's just saying that to shut me up. I'll find out this week.

I gave my review on their site (1 star out of 5) due to my first copy having the most atrocious sensor rattle I've ever experienced in a mouse. It's like they sent me one that was 75% complete in being put together and forgot to secure the sensor. Low and behold, they sent me a brand new one free of charge (which came in quicker than the first time I ordered it. I literally got mine from the U.K. in less than a week!).

I will say, the replacement G1 I got is a lot better, no significant sensor rattle, but the lift off distance is still bad. The thing still tracks on top of a stack of 3 DVDs. That's pretty bad.

So I discovered something about the G1's lift off distance. If I use it on a cloth mouse mat, the lift distance is horrible. If I use it on a hard mouse mat, the lift off distance is very low and the sensor actually tracks pretty well. Which is stupid since Fnatic Gear should've been well aware that everybody is going to be using different types of surfaces for this mouse let alone different mouse pads. The solution to that would be some kind of mat calibration option in their software. UNLESS........... this mouse was calibrated to work well only on their mouse pads (sold by Fnatic Gear only). We shall see. I really want to use this mouse more but can't due to the horrible LOD.

2nd Flick arrived today... so much sensor rattle that even the worst G303 rattle seems quiet. This seems like a **** batch which I got.

How high did crowdfunding get before they stopped collecting?

Seems like a rushed and/or horrible quality control process they have over there. My first Fnatic Flick G1 had the worst sensor rattle (I didn't even have to pick it up when moving left and right to hear and feel it rattle). It's a good thing my 2nd one didn't have that problem. Right now, it's just the LOD issue. I don't know how this team actually plays with this mouse without it affecting their abilities drastically. I'm sure the mice they're using are nothing compared to the build quality of the ones they sell to the public.
