It would make sense for Fnatic to release a hard pad. The LOD for the G1 is perfect on hard surfaces (at least my copy is).

That new Zowie packaging is bada**

Presentation sells. But at the end of the day, it'd be nice if gaming mice a) gave consumers the option to have rubber or braided cables and b) stop folding the cords and package them like Logitech does so you're not trying to "break in" the cord.

Speaking of, the Fnatic Gear G1 is one mouse I own where the braided cable was the stiffest one I've ever seen on a mouse. It's as if they preserved their cables in starch before shipping them over to their consumers.

I dunno what's going on with their quality control, but when I requested an RMA (I bought it directly from Fnatic Gear's site), they simply mailed me a brand new one. The first one I got from them had a sensor rattle so bad that I really didn't have to swipe left or right to hear the rattle but see the mouse pointer continue a bit after I stopped the mouse. It was that bad. This new one they gave me has no sensor rattle issue BUT the LOD issue remains. I found that the G1 works best (in relation to the LOD) on hard mats or stiffer mouse mats.

Looks like they wanna ignore the LOD issue.

From what I've heard, they are working on it. But they say is gonna take about 3 months, which is damn terrible considering it is their only mouse and that high LOD distance is a big issue for gaming.

I just got one from Amazon. I hope I don't have to return it.

Hopefully... the same sensor is used in other mice that have zero issues with LOD. So I guess they did something wrong in their own implementation.

Fingers crossed tongue.gif
