Good job. I would recommend hosting your screenshots on OCN.

Oh right, Dropbox is blocked for some people, depending on where they're accessing OCN from.

Done. :)

Also, I made another update to my OP. I feel that it's a thousand times better than it was originally. I still want feedback on it because everything always has room for improvement in my opinion. I'm a perfectionist till the very end. :)

This is a request for help that goes out to any programmer who'd like to help. ALL help is welcome, and I will always give credit where credit is due. Your programming talents and skills are priceless to me.

  • Can you show me how to make all links on OCN underline on hover, regardless of where the links are? I'm including the 3 links at the top of the Forums menu. I know that OCN will have this soon, but how soon? Y'know? Presently, I I just have links in sigs, post content and the links for Private Messages and Subscriptions underlining on hover. Links in the preview don't underline on hover, links on the navigation thingy at the top of the page don't underline on hover (like Overclock.net › Forums › Software, Programming and Coding › Coding and Programming › Web Coding ›), and pretty much everywhere else a link can be seen.
  • Can you show me how to make the Multi button change color when clicked? Jiiks, I see that you accomplished it with the Dark Theme, so I'd love to do that for this theme as well. I will be fine with choosing my own color. However, I am open to suggestions based on my current colors!
  • Can you show me how to have a hover color for all of the buttons on this site? Presently, I only know how to have a hover color for these:

-Post a Reply
-Submit (for submitting a post)
-Send (for sending a PM)
-Start a New Thread (as seen in a forum, but not the one in threads)

Due to not knowing how to have a hover color for ALL buttons on this site, I changed the hover color of these to make it appear as though there's no hover color by changing the color code in this bit of code:
Code:
.btn-cont a:hover,
body a.priact:hover,
body a.priact:focus,
body .form_actions .accented_primary_cta:hover,
body .form_actions .accented_primary_cta:focus,
body .form_actions .primary_cta:first-child:hover,
body .form_actions .primary_cta:first-child:focus,
.form_actions .buttons-right .btn:hover {
    background-color: #46566B !important;
    border: 1px solid transparent!important;
}

Without this, those 4 buttons listed above hover to that new blue that OCN is using.

I admit that I haven't decided if I want this theme to have a hover color for buttons (I personally don't need it), but I'm sure it will be requested and I want to be able to satisfy that request. I have all the time I could ever need to help everyone customize this as they want on their end, just as long as I have the code edit and give them. lol smile.gif

  • Can you show me how to adjust the color of the dotted white focus indicator thing (forgive my terminology) for the Forums menu (both at the top and the rest of the menu) and for the profile menu?
  • Can the tab order (tabbing out of a post and onto the buttons) be adjusted using either CSS or JavaScript? Or would that be so much work that it's not worth it? I'd love to see how to do it if it's not too much work.
  • Is there a way to customize what items are in the Profile Menu? I'd love to put "Edit Signature" back in there, but only if the link to Edit Signature would cause that little window to come up just like it used to. I'm not sure I'd want to put Edit Signature in the profile menu if it would only point to http://www.overclock.net/users/signature/edit_signature/user_id/Your_User_ID. Of course, we could make it open that up in a new tab or even a new small browser window that's just big enough for the signature editor - if it's not too much work, of course. I don't want to be too difficult here. After all, you guys are volunteering your talents and skills.
  • Can we change the color of the text on the horizontal post bars (the bar on the top of every post)? What's that bar called anyway? heh Of course, the color of that speech bubble icon next to "Thread Starter" would need to be changed as well. Yikes. Would this be more work than it's worth? I think it would be fun to be able to have control over the color of these things, regardless of what color OCN decides to use if they ever change this (and it sounds like they plan to change it - but when? lol)
  • Finally, if I wanted to actually have the main navbar buttons (Forums, News, Gaming, Reviews and Rigbuilder) change color in order to tell the user "you are here", then how could we prevent "Forums" from indicating that you're in Forums when you're actually in News or Gaming? No matter what I do with the code that you guys have provided me with so far, Forums always stays "lit" to indicate "you are here" when I visit News or Gaming even though the other button lights up too for "you are here" indication. That's actually why I have all of the buttons completely transparent except for when hovering. Of course, again, I don't know of anyone who needs to be told where they are on this site. It's always obvious! Whatever though. It's a navbar, so I guess it should do that. lol

Thank you for any help that you guys can provide on any of these things! I am not expecting or asking for all of these things to be shown to me all at once in the same post. Just as time allows.

Dont know anything about the above but hopefully a legit bump gets some attention where its needed.

As for the thread though, maybe consider a sort of time stamp for returning members to compare when they got their copy vs. what may be the new or same available version

Most people can just look at the edit time, but not everyone is that...hmm...organized?

I seem to be having an issue where the favicon will not consistently be the old ocn one, is the theme able to fix that at all? It doesn't seem to be on a particular url but it will randomly be the old favicon in both my bookmarks bar and on the tab, or just one of those at a time.

If I click on the bookmark it will change to the old one, if I click again it changes to the new one, if I go somewhere else on the site it changes to the mixed one. The bookmark button is linked to simply www.overclock.net

Good call. I will make a text update to my OP to say when the last update was. Thank you! This is exactly the kind of feedback that I need.

I don't know, that sounds like a problem that would need some troubleshooting to figure out. This theme does have some JavaScript though to bring back the old blue flame favicon that we all used to have before OCN dropped this new "modern" theme on us. So I guess there's a chance that it will fix it, but I have no way to know if it will.

Edit: I have a bad habit here. I'm in the middle of dinner and yet I decide to log in. If I don't log out now, something like 5 hours will go by like nothing and my dinner will dry out. hahahaha See you guys later. smile.gif
