I think someone in China could only get 95hz, however there was no confirmation he even had the monitor and the Chinese translation was awful, so he could have been saying about that "he might get 95hz" everyone else seems to be getting 100hz

This is probably an artefact mentioned in PG348Q user manuel :

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/LCD%20Monitors/PG348/PG348Q_English.pdf

Page 6 :
The problem is that the display never got back to normal, even after 14 hours power off.

The next page of that thread, you'll see some pictures of PG348Q scanlines wink.gif

Wow!

That's ANUS quality for you.

If you think that is bad, you need to look at the ACER Predator X34

I prefer the ACER Predator X34 out of the 2 and the ANUS has no gamma which is huge fail and a tacky cheap stand.

Considering one person has reported "washed out" colours, it seems out of box gamma is fine, however enjoy 95hz, coil whine and the two year warranty

I come back to 100+ post and they are all about Acer vs Asus.

"Seems"? And if it isn't, you're screwed. End of. 95Hz is imperceptible to 100Hz, so anyone would enjoy it just as much as 100Hz. Fact. If you're not happy and insist on an extra 5Hz, then fine that is your right, but you won't NOTICE it. Coil whine seems to mostly occur when that 100Hz can't be reached. And if you're in the UK at least, 2 year vs 3 year warranty is meaningless if you are familiar with the Sales of Goods Act, which you are apparently not. Similar laws are in place in several other countries as well.

For me it doesnt matter if i wount notice the 5 extra hz, 95hz is not 100hz, that made me send my x34 back and get the asus where it worked fine with 100hz.

That is your right. Not saying anyone can't do that if they want, but if I had a BLB free panel with no other issues, no way would I consider sending it back! Like I say, it would be imperceptible, unlike any other of the known faults with this monitor.

You cannot get an extra year warranty through Sales of Goods act, you were mentioning this a few months ago
