Not sure if I asked this, how is the gamma on the monitor

For me its not a big deal to send anything back tho. In Sweden you have the right by law when you order anything online to try it out and if you dont like it (for any reason doesnt matter if is working perfectly) return it for a full refund with in 14 days of when you got it to your home.

I would absolutly return the Asus too if i wasnt happy with it over and over till i got one that i was happy with, but ofc im happy that the first one i got was a good one smile.gif

It is the same in the UK, although you must pay for that return here if they find nothing 'wrong' with it. Unless it's Amazon, they are good with their free returns. My only point was that given the numerous issues reported with X34 (none of which are impossible to occur with the PG348Q), the 95Hz is very much at the bottom of the list as far as I'm concerned, simply because you just wouldn't notice, unlike all the other problems, BLB and scan lines in-particular. But if yours is all good then happy days!

All this bickering about the ASUS Vs Acer. It really doesn't matter they are they same exact monitor +/- a few design differences and +/- a few worthless things like speakers being a higher wattage or less. There is no point to trash either one you won't get a "less of an experience if you use a X34 vs a PG348Q QC issues aside.

The differences are going to be personal taste that's it.

The pg348q got to 100hz at once no problems what so ever. Is that worth an extra ~$100 ? YES for me it is. Maybe not for everyone but for me it is.

Bottom line for me x34 vs pg348q: winner is pg348q cause it made it to the 100hz where x34 did not.

If one of the two x34 had made it to 100hz i would have stayed with the Acer, but after two x34´s i was done with Acer for this time around.

That sounds like really bad luck, out of 4 I have seen 3 did 100hz and the other did 95hz, I cannot believe I am defending acer here myself... But the X34 is actually a really nice monitor.

You just showed some objectivity, well done!

If you're not happy and insist on an extra 5Hz, then fine that is your right, but you won't NOTICE it. Coil whine seems to mostly occur when that 100Hz can't be reached. And if you're in the UK at least, 2 year vs 3 year warranty is meaningless if you are familiar with the Sales of Goods Act, which you are apparently not. Similar laws are in place in several other countries as well.

I agree about the SOGA in the UK... But I can notice 100hz vs 95hz, not massive but if you paid for a 100hz monitor you should expect that.

As above, silly, no human could notice this.
