It's not a case of it not looking better... to a creature that could perceive such a difference it would, but we can't. In a blind test, you simply would not be able to tell which was which. That said, on principle alone, I would not be happy if I paid for a 100Hz monitor and received one that maxed out at 95Hz... but the issue for me would be the OTHER issues that the X34 (and likely the PG348Q) are prone to, such as excessive BLB and scan lines. If I had a flawless monitor in all other aspects, I would not return it for the sake of 5hz at the risk of getting a replacement that could do 100Hz but had other more visible faults. Such are the crazy monitor lottery times we live in.

Approx. translation:
"No, it was running since yesterday. I unplugged DP while monitor was on then now I've a frozen image."
After a night with unplugged AC and a reset through OSD, still not fixed.
He's returning it.

After checking, he was not the one talking about OC hot-unplugging, so I don't know if his monitor was OC or not when he hot-unplugged it.

Also another guy had image burning issue. Seems normal to me, it's even mentioned in user's manual.
Well, I've to admit I'm used to CRT and plasma screens, so I'm used to deal with image burning.

I appreciate the clarification. My french is super bad, probably worse than google.

Guess we'll have to be careful with the cables, just in case.

No problem, it's my native language, so... I speak fractured english (thanks google biggrin.gif )

About the cabling, I don't like hot-plug and do it only in critical cases.
I've seen so many hot-plug pretending hardware broken by doing it... (I worked in a DataCenter)

I can definitely see the difference between 95 and 100hz,. If 100hz is no smoother than 95hz... why are there 120, 144 and 165 and 200hz monitors? Also the other thing is that with Gync you have to cap the frames around 2-3 lower than the max refresh, so with 95hz that would be 92-93, or with 100hz it would be 97-98... it is definitely noticeable that is all I can say.

Do you need permission to make an owners club, finished the table and some information

Not fully complete, need to add different parts like FAQ and specifications

I still haven't received a link to a review of the ASUS that didnt hit 95hz. Also someone incorrectly stated that 1 out of 4 didn't hit 100hz which was way incorrect. We have seen links to more than 6 on this thread and had several people in this thread hit 100hz no problem.

Also we have yet to see a single picture of scan lines on the ASUS. Not at all saying it doesnt happen, but if it was as bad as some of you make it out to be, then we should see way more pictures.

Is there a way I can mute some users? This is getting ridiculous.
