Got a reply from CDON, a swedish reseller and they said that Asus is planing to release these monitors in March.

Ugh, prob gonna be longer to the US...... and the waiting continues. I really hope they hit the ground running with this due to such a time difference between the X34 release, if we have to deal with similar issues I will be on a warpath.

I hate how the only route from China apparently leads into Sweden. Not sure why these monitors are always released in this way and take so long to reach the North American market. Do they make one a day? Even if so there should be a couple of hundred of them out there!

Will there be a huge delay so they can add a Q to the model name on the box?

Agreed; it's my experience that retailers frequently know far LESS about release dates of product that the fans do. $2 says they just made up a date to get people to keep hitting their site.
