No, 3800R is the same curvature as the X34.

You may be thinking of the Z35, that's 2000R

Now that makes sense. I was thinking, if it has less of a curve than x34 it won't be curved at all!

Not to mention 2000R is more curve than 3800R, not less.

I wonder who is going to get this first, consumer or reviewer and when will they get it.

2. The X34 is PWM free but also have Blue Light Filters as well (4 modes).

1. I am going by some user reviews of the X34 I have read saying they cannot get past 30hz at 3440 x 1440 on hdmi, and a few listings on e-seller sites saying HDMI 3440 x 1440 @ 30hz, the acer documents for the X34 conveniently fail to mention hdmi refresh rates, only DP rates.. but there are also some listing for the PG348q saying HDMi 3440 x 1440 max is 30hz, so needs updating to 50hz for the Asus on e-tailer sites.

The PG348q manual shows 3440 x 1440 hdmi @ 50hz.

2. Its probably just marketing, both monitors say they have a low blue light filter, but the TUV certificate on the X34 I have seen only shows flicker free, not Blue light, the Asus shows both. I think they both just turn down the blue, and balance out the green and red a bit, so not sure if its an actual hardware filter, for a software gimmick...

...and back to my first point, which is my own personal preference, I cant stand glossy black plastic, makes things look cheap IMO. Black matt ok, black brushed much better, shiny glossy black no way. So even if the monitors were equal in specs, I'd still choose the Asus. Plus it has a more versatile stand.

Well prepare for a out of stock monitor if you do not pre order, I think this will go out of stock faster than the ACER Predator X34 and it will have so many back orders

.

I have the X34, and 60 Hz via HDMI works fine. Only 50 Hz is selectable "out of the box" but if you create a custom 3440x1440 resolution in the NVCP it works at 60. Must be an HDMI 2.0 port. Anything higher than 60 will not work, however
