Some things in the thread: base stand is plastic, doesn't seem to support 10-bit,BLB is ok on this monitor, one dude says his monitor only works fine under 90Hz.

Link to the thread if anyone in interested, it's in Chinese btw:https://www.chiphell.com/thread-1523841-1-1.html

I'm sad now.

Well I think we were all expecting it, the same problems as the x34...

I used google to translate the pages, and its hard to really understand, but I think some got the 100hz ok, some 95hz, and some 90... and that the colour accuracy is very good.

Seeing the unpacking photos did give me a strange warm fuzzy feeling though, not sure what that's about.. :-P

Just noticed this link came up under my set google search..

http://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-SWIFT-PG348Q/review/

Its completely blank, but I think this can only mean one thing.... That monitors have been sent out to tech sites for testing, if they haven't already....

Have to wait for some English language reviews me thinks...

So horrible they are already playing the Hz lottery and losing. Was hoping for better yield rates but I guess not.

After all this wait this is what we got Asus? Lol. Seriously, if it's just like the X34, what were we waiting this long for again? The actual casing/stand is what took this long it seems.

I like how they advertise it like this:
http://www.asus.com/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-SWIFT-PG348Q/websites/global/products/5c59dxjXrRn9Co0w/images/2screen.jpg

But in the original photo at the top:
http://www.asus.com/media/global/products/5c59dxjXrRn9Co0w/P_setting_000_1_90_end_500.png

Would indicate the bezel is actually far larger.. Marketing, ugh.. I think the 279Q has a far thinner bezel than this.

Oh wow, Sad.....Looks like X34 all over again,

Not to threadjack, but I've been wandering around for a new display and am very interested in changing my Dell UltraSharp U2212HM for a 21:9 screen.

I've been looking at the Dell UltraSharp U3415W since I am very happy with the picture quality of the UltraSharp series. Also the price is nearly half of the PG348Q... I know G-Sync is sweet, but as I'm hearing reports of this screen giving issues hitting 100Hz just as the Acer X34, do both screens hold their (double) value compared to the Dell?

40 pages of thoughts and discussion to get a X34 with premium gaming skin

Thank god we'll have DP1.3 and better stuff to buy at the time that I'll build my rig.

Gotta say that Asus kept me busy seeking for information for months at least. It's something you know.

Forget everything here and read the next post

I'm sad now.

Wait there a second. OP never said the monitor only works fine with 90hz. According to Google Translate, he said:
Quote:
"But if these two monitors simultaneously connected, PG348Q must be set to 60Hz, otherwise U2715K display will go wrong. So when PG348Q working at 100Hz, you must turn off U2715K.

This means he need to go back to 60hz in order to use the 348Q with his other monitor only. No problems running the 348Q itself in 100hz at all. He even posted a picture showing the refresh rate set to 100hz:

CREATOR: gd-jpeg v1.0 (using IJG JPEG v80), quality = 95

False alarm folks

You need to pay more attention when you're reading such things

I don't expect every unit to be tested to be working at 100hz. Overclocking is overclocking. What I want to see is early reports on scanlines.

Amazon.de page went up. Still N/A. http://www.amazon.de/dp/B01A9EN4YU/ref=asc_df_B01A9EN4YU31714419?smid=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&tag=ihre_partner_id&linkCode=df0&creative=22494&creativeASIN=B01A9EN4YU

Smokey, you understand, I 100% agree. Scanlines are going to be one of the most important parts of this monitor for me (except maybe dead pixels), after that refresh rate, then the rest, like BLB
