Well VA panels from AU Optronics have awful response times, so they are terrible for gaming. Also it will be out next year

Do we know that it even exists? I've seen no mention of it anywhere than from forum poster speculation...

edit: nevermind

Q3 sure seems too soon for any DP1.3 spec cards..

Not speculation, they confirmed this panel, and it will be coming out next year:

I hope we manage to get a good 3440x1440 144hz panel for gaming before 2018. I really want to have one of these in my room.

We do not know how accurate those specifications are for the panel

As my edited posts mentions, there wont be any DP1.3 cards out by the time these panels are projected... so.......

Yes, but I'm only saying that the panel do exist and it's in development stages smile.gif

Next Nvidia/AMD cards will support DP 1.3 everyone knows that. What I'm seeking for is a 144hz 3440x1440 monitor before 2018.

Such a monitor will come out long before 2018. And with a VA panel thankfully, as you've seen in that picture.

I'm a bit concerned about overall image quality on VA panels. Can you tell me from experience if they're good?
