You will gladly pay it, otherwise you may pass out and die. To you, this glass of water is easily worth £100, probably much more. Is it ACTUALLY worth that, no, of course not. I am obviously exaggerating, but simply illustrating the dual meaning of the word "worth" and how it can often have two very different meanings, which is entirely permissible.

The concept is not difficult to understand, you are simply trying to explain it to a well known troll who has been blocked by many regulars here. God knows why I respond to him as often as I do, I guess I just find it funny.

The main reason for me to get that 3440x1440 144hz over the 100hz one is that I'll only be able to build my PC next year, so for me the wait will worth it.

Neither definition is wrong necessarily, they are allowed to be in contradiction.

I absolutely understand, however people are using different meanings to the word "worth" as you have seen in the previous comments

For example expensive cars £100K or more, do people think it is worth it, yes, is it actually worth that price, no, I expect it cost a lot less to produce

Let's say this, is the ASUS PG348Q at the correct price, I think it is

Yeah, that is understandable, however you could say, why not build it in 2018 for 4K 21.9

Because I've been out of the PC gaming world since 2013, and I just can't handle this anymore. I had to sell my last gaming PC to pay my studying debts, and since then I've been studying very hard to get a good job and have enough money to build whatever rig I want to. So if everything goes right, it doesn't matter to buy that 1440p 144hz, as I'll have enough money to buy this Oled 21:9 when they come out smile.gif

A huge benefit of the 3440 x 1440 one is the fact that it will be a VA panel instead of IPS. It will be a downside instead of a benefit for competitive gamers though, but for those who prioritize picture quality a big plus.

uuummmm I think its 100% clear from the very start that this is a 100hz G-gync monitor : -) And I am fully aware of the technology it uses : -)

At no point did I say this is old tech, I am refering to DP 1.2 that’s about to be replaced with DP 1.3.

If your going to criticise someone’s post, at least have a point? All I see is you stating the obvious :-)

I'm pretty sure I didn't say anything opposite in my posts from the obvious things you just listed, are you sure you didn't misread, or misunderstand my posts, or reading someone else's post? I referred only to Acer and Asus pushing the limits of DP 1.2, and those overclocks causing problems, so better to wait for DP 1.3. IMO!

I am far away for a competitive gaming person. I think the most competitive game that I play is Battlefield, and only the fact that I'll play with better 21:9 FOV and that Gsync 144hz smoothness will make me feel powerful enough biggrin.gif Image quality it is for me then.
