Asus ROG Swift PG348Q Worth waiting for? - Page 63

Yes, I too have been doing searches. I also called Asus and Customer Support has nothing in their systems. Customer Support usually gets info about a new product 2 to 3 weeks before launch so this means that the launch of the monitor in the US won't be until the end of Feb at the earliest. But I do hope I'm wrong.

This release is the same as the other monitor's released in the PG series. Basically any ASUS monitor will be released in this order, with NA being not quite last. I wouldn't sweat it. China, Germany, UK, then we might see a few!

Wouldn't be as bad for me if I could just see it up for pre-order somewhere in NA. Then I'd at least have a general idea when it was coming. The no idea make me really want to order from UK.

Assuming a good chunk of the parts are of Chinese origin, Chinese new year starting probably isn't going to speed this process along any, either.

Ok just got a bit of bad news from Scan, their eta for stock is now 29/02/15 instead of the 12/02/15 acording to a sales rep, albeit they did get 8 of the 25 initial order they apparently placed. Looks like there’s going to be a shortage on the horizon frown.gif.

Question for the folks in the US. What is the process like for a refund/exchange from Amazon and Newegg? I've never bought a monitor online before - usually prefer a brick and mortar because that's always hassle-free. Do you have to pay any additional shipping costs, or constantly contact them back-and-forth?

You just call them up or live chat, I prefer calling. Then you tell them I want to return / or refund. They ask you why give them your reason. Then they hook you up with a shipping label and you go drop it off at UPS and wait patiently for your RMA return to go through.

Amazon has the most lax and hassle-free return policy in the business. You have 30 days to return any item for any reason whatsoever (or no reason at all) for a full refund, you just click the "return this item" button and follow the directions.

Newegg is a little trickier, they tend to charge a "restocking fee" of like 10%.
