My impression on the situation is Asus was ready to release their product close to when Acer did. Their monitor probably had similar issues, but figured us consumers wouldn't mind all that much. Then they saw the backlash Acer was receiving and didn't want any part of that. Asus gave the monitor a little extra love and hopefully released a more finished product albeit being late to the party.

Hopefully the positive reviews keep coming in so when it gets released in the States I'll pick one up asap.

I think that's a very plausible scenario.

Not sure why people keep asking about 'scanlines' rolleyes.gif The scanline issue didn't prop up til much later in the X34 thread usually a few weeks out to a month's usage. No one saw them right away.....Coil Whine and BLB would be more apparent at this stage and I still believe like 'TFTCentral' stated that too many people can't tell the difference between IPS glow and BLB

If I am understanding this correctly there is currently no vesa mount compatibility with this monitor? Can any of you guys confirm?

You can VESA mount it, the size is 100x100

I'll post some pics later but unfortunately, the PG348Q I received is affected by scanlines as well.

What's weird is that I launched Gsync Pendulum without overclock, so native 60hz and I saw scanlines. This is different from Acer X34.
Also, disabling Gsync doesn't make scanlines completely disappear, they are faint but visible.

The monitor is 100hz stable but scanlines are still here even when fps are between 95 / 100 where they tend to disappear on the X34.

Tested with different displayport outputs from the first 980ti.
I'll test with the second one and see if it's better.

I assume it just sits inside of the circular part where the normal stand attaches?

That's too bad about the scanlines. Keep us updated on what you find.

Is it possible that they are shipping with 2 different colors? Sometimes it seems a very light gray, other times seems almost black. Is it only for light conditions?

Since it happens with G-Sync off, are the scanlines visible on the desktop then as well?
