Great stuff, similar(ish) specs on the main components so be great to see how it goes with yourself.

If its any consolation, on my current 3440 x 1440 panel, before I know anything about PC's I used to connect my laptop up thinking a GTX 660M was boss. it was not tongue.gif

Yes in actual usage the scanlines may as well be invisible and are actually not a problem at all, but still interesting to see if the Asus has them as well or not, IMO people returning for scanlines are completely mad, you cannot actually see them, except in specific scenarios and with your nose to the screen... But yes anyway out of interest I would like to know if any PG348Q have scanlines as well.

That is very disappointing man. Looks like the same case with the x34 where some people don't notice it, or possibly don't have it. I'd bet they all have to it varying degrees just like the x34.

This is what I thought would happen, the X34 and PG348Q both have the same panel and same Gsync etc. with some minor differences... So they are likely to both have the same problems.

If only a 5850 would run the ASUS PG348Q at desktop, I could post some more pictures frown.gif

Or possibly do not see them or are not testing properly.

Please can you answer these questions :

1) Does the PG348Q have gamma options?

2) What is the backlight bleed and glow like? Please post pictures in dim or dark room.

3) Does it have any coil whine?

Thanks.

So far :

1) Both the PG348Q and X34 can have scan lines.

2) The PG348Q has worse speakers

3) The PG348Q has a joystick which is better than the buttons on the X34

4) The initial reports seem like it might be a bit better for backlight bleed and coil whine.

5) Still nobody has said if the PG348Q has any gamma options.

But I already have and those questions were not answered yet......

Has anyone posted images in a dark / dim room and also said if it has gamma options? If they did then I missed it.
