Of course. If an x34 has scanlines, it's terrible Acer QC. If a pg348q has scanlines it must be faulty, and a rare occurrence.

Here we go again, want to actually wait until we get more samples before being loche towards other members on this website

Also it does seem ACER QC is awful again, as ASUS has less issues (need more samples)

Hmm well that picture on page 69 looks just a bad as the worst x34's... The other picture looks similar to a decent X34 in the same lighting (he has a bias light behind it)...

So basically so far the Pg348Q is looking no better than the X34, actually worse in some areas, which would be worse speakers and possibly no gamma options, better would be that it has a joystick instead of buttons and seems to have less or no coil whine..... Especially if you are putting it on a monitor arm or do not particularly like the stand on the Asus.

Especially if you are putting it on a monitor arm.

Who buys a monitor for speakers, if you are spending this money on a monitor, get decent speakers/headset, even if you only want it for videos

Here we go again with your troll vortex...

Loche... lachen.gif

Just to be clear. The only member I don't like here is you, for obvious reasons, and Funfordcobra because he ****s on people with jobs that don't pay well while throwing tantrums.

I already have nice headphones (Shure 1540), I still like using monitor speakers for youtube videos etc. as long as they sound decent and not terrible.

I don't think anybody proposes using the embedded speakers for primary audio, but IMHO it's convenient to have them there if/when you need them. I personally have a slightly more complicated than usual audio setup with lots of options, and sometimes I really just don't want to deal with switching the output or turning on my receiver etc, and I've found the embedded speakers on my Samsung 34" quite convenient in a pinch (and surprisingly decent quality)

Was interested to see if Asus had been able to stop the scan lines issue, as it was why my X34 went back (it had debilitating scan lines which gave every game a lovely grid pattern which could be seen from over 1m away), sad to hear that someone seems to have it on this one. Of course not many people have received the screen, but it doesn't bode well. And to those who have said that the scan lines are a non issue - get real, sure, some people have had it to a minor extent but some certainly have had bad ones (myself include), and some others seem to have developed Stockholm syndrome around the problem.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

Looks like you missed my post in the X34 thread.... Before writing everyone off please remember that not everyone has the same severity for scanlines, my 2nd one had it less but still had enough for me to return it.

Two weeks, wow, I didn't think they would fill the supply chain that quickly. Asus Customer Support has no info on it and they usually get it 2 weeks (ish) before launch so I think we are still several weeks away. I hope I'm wrong.
