That's actually a great idea. I'll have to look a bit more into it, cheers. With that in mind, it mostly comes down to the warranty.

Many samples have coil whine - Mostly it is not very bad, but yes this is pretty much the only major advantage of the PG348Q from early reports
Scan lines - Same as PG348Q, some people are saying PG348Q is worse, some better
Glossy plastic - The bezel is not glossy, there is some on the back but it looks ok
Two years warranty - Yes this is true, but from what I have read both Asus and Acer RMA are not great
Not got swivel - A monitor arm which is better than any stand, an X34 + arm costs the same as a PG348Q

ASUS PG348Q disadvantages

Scan lines
More expensive

Same problems as X34
Fixed gamma
Worse speakers

So can I ask, why would you buy the "budget" monitor when you can get a much better monitor with less problems

Because as I already said, mainly no gamma options and 10% more expensive, the X34 is not a budget option at all maximum troll.

It is a "budget" option compared to the ASUS monitor, as the ACER Predator X34 has so many problems, unlike the ASUS PG348Q

If the gamma is correct on the models, then you do not need to configure it

The trolling is strong with this one.

How the hell can you tell Predator X34 has more problems than the recently released PG348Q. Predator X34 came like 5 months ago, so there is way more units and users of the Predator X34 than PG348Q. Acer has addressed many of the problems on the Predator X34 and there was worldwide recall, which is the main reason why I've had to wait almost 2 months for my Predator X34 (ordered in december)...

Asus of course has many of the early problems in Predator X34 fixed, because it was released many months later and they had Acer doing "beta testing" of the same panel and it's overclocking quirks. It's way too early to state the PG348Q winner, because there is way less units in the market vs Predator X34.

Nobody needs to get upset or angry here, just merely saying what I have seen so far compared to the X34.

Is the PG348Q looking like the massively different or much better monitor than the X34 that a lot of people were hoping for? Not really no, is it better in some areas and worse in others? Yes.. Is it really looking like it is worth an extra 10% ? Not in my opinion,

Question to PG348Q owners :

How does the quality of the stand feel like? cheap plastic or metal-like?

It is good quality, it seems to be steel, also it has rubber pads under the feet
