This is ridiculous.

Some of us are here for honest and accurate information regarding both of these panels so that we the end-user can come out the winner... Who cares which of the monitors "win".?

Dr.Mad is stating facts. In fact, he even stated that the PG348Q is overall the better buy, and that it's warranty pull it out ahead, so what's the problem? Do you just want a happy-go-lucky ASUS circle jerk? I plan to get a PG348Q, already returned my x34 weeks ago, and I want to know the reality of the situation. It's just weird how you guys take any negative point as an attack towards your mother.

Like I said, it might use the same name, as it is a revision, until we get a TFT central review, people are just guessing and cannot provide any evidence

I have contacts with Samsung, the new 3440x1440p 100hz panel is coming 24th January 2017

I understand, however too many people are guessing at the situation, we need more samples and TFT central needs to review the ASUS PG348Q

SSA1 is the revision. End of. And maybe your 'Samsung contacts' can tell you not to stick 'p' at the end of monitor resolutions as it in unnecessary and makes you look a bit daft. smile.gif

Oh and I don't know if you were being sarcastic about that panel, but production dates for panels are never that specific - and also your date is way off. smile.gif

Could you provide evidence for that, not your "I have contacts" statement

Does not matter how the resolution is written as it still means the same thing

No, because it was information given to me on confidence. To be fair it was information that is now a few months old (very end of last year) but I don't think ASUS have magically slipped in a then non-existent panel into the PG348Q since then. Again, wishful thinking and nothing more. smile.gif

So no evidence, which means this could be unreliable, so more guessing, we need to wait for a review

ASUS might have got better binned panels, which is why more people are getting to 100hz.

The one doing guessing is you...

The review sites almost for sure get cherry picked units, so it makes every monitor look better than it really is...

I don't remember seeing big review sites mentioning Acer Predator X34 problems...

You're right, this will be the evidence that is needed. smile.gif
