Remember, the 45 I have coming out of my pump is not ideal but needed so it wouldn't hit the glass. I have no flow problems.

As for the ball valve and drain, that is right where I have mine mounted. The drain valve should be at the lowest point in the system. It is not ideal as it wont drain your radiator but still gets the job done. I had to take my rad off after draining to empty the rest of the way out.

Will the fittings fit into the extender that comes with the res for the water to go from the bottom of it into the pump?

I see on ekwb site that it suggest high flow or even the Ek-PSC is compatible with the extender, but it doesn't say anything about the EK-ACF fittings.

The ACF fittings say they are 4.5mm but I want to get confirmation before I place the order.

Thank you so much! You're helping me out so much. Cant wait to build this.

yes it will fit. the EK extender is G1/4 thread the same as all fittings.

Thank you.

Only reason I was worried was because it said something about do not have something threaded past 5mm with the extender.

I'll probably place the order tonight smile.gif

This sub is awesome can't wait to post my build once its done.

The EK ports are recessed so when you use a plug it is flush and not sticking out, so the extender is needed in order to connect a fitting to the port instead of the plug. Without the extender you could damage the port and it will surely leak.

I've got a concern about this case. Does anyone know what the covering/wrapper used on the acrylic glass panel is made of? To me it seems like fiberglass.

I bought this case and when it came in I was eager to set it up. I unboxed in my living room and started working on my coffee table. Then I realized I had sharp tiny pieces of glass all over my hands. I washed it off and went back to look around and discovered the entire area I had been working in was covered in these tiny glass fibers that I couldn't really even see without using a light. My clothes, carpet, furniture, floor, and especially the coffee table. I used the light on my phone and realized that the inside of the box it was shipped in also had dozens and dozens of these fibers, primarily on the side that had the glass panel. So shining the light at the glass panel (with the protective wrapper still on it) I saw the material was made of these shiny fibers, I'm assuming are fiberglass. The case itself also has some on it, even though it was in that plastic sleeve, although that does surprise me seeing how much was in the box.

So unless they've shipped these with different protective covers/wrappers, I'm guessing everyone else has the same kind I do. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm assuming it's just that no one else has noticed this, but it's there. I only noticed it because I got suspicious. Perhaps you guys should take a light and have a look, particularly inside the original box or if anyone is unboxing. Sounds kinda crazy, but I'm serious. I spent nearly 4 hours cleaning it up and ended up washing my case because I was concerned. I ended up putting the glass panel back into the box and sealing it up. This weekend I'll have to take it outside, remove the covering, and hose it down while probably wearing a respirator and old pair of clothes. I don't particularly like fiberglass and it's certainly not something that's nice or healthy to get everywhere and I shouldn't have to go through this with a new PC case. mad.gif

That is incredibly weird! Mine is just covered in the paper that is sticky on one side that comes on acrylic panel/sheet. I have no fibers of any sorts. @ThermalMike, any ideas?

What your describing sounds exactly like shattered/slivered acrylic. Maybe the acrylic panel got shattered and is silvering from inside the protective paper?

That's a good point. It definitely isn't coming from the paper if its like mine. I would pull the paper off and check.

I've never had acrylic panels with wrapping before so I have nothing to compare it to. But the panel that I have now doesn't look fiberous in the "fuzzy" kind of way, but it's definitely made of fibers. I never noticed until I went back and took a look at it with a light. More of a fiber-paper so to speak. And the fibers look like glass to me, they're rigid, shine in light, very small, translucent, and resemble glass. They shed off of that covering like snow too, I swear. I'm even finding some of them inside the accessory boxes, which makes me wonder if it was spread largely during boxing assembly. Idk, but I'm not impressed.

I'd really like to know if I managed to get some different wrapping than anyone else or if it is indeed fiberglass based. I took some pictures of the fibers but the camera doesn't show them. When I pull the acrylic board outside this weekend I'll take a few pictures and perhaps you guys can tell me if it's the same as yours. I'll try to show the fibers in the shot too

I wondered if it could have been residue left from them cutting the panel but after going back and looking at the wrapping, it seems to me like that is the source. I have my doubts it's shattered acrylic, just because I had held it up and it wasn't flexing or anything weird. Perhaps it could be partially shattered? I'll keep that in mind when I pull it out this weekend.
