anyone else have issues running dual gpu's using the ribbon cables? I try running both cards second gpu freaks out, I use either card with one of the ribbon cables disconnected they run fine.
For the time being i've opted out of using the gpu display deck thing just so I can actually use both cards i'm thinking the two ribbon cables are throwing interference with each other since the shielding on the cables is garbage but I have no idea for sure.

What ribbon are you using.
Also my first ribbon cable won't work on my pcie3 slot I need to plug it on pcie4x slot to get it work

It is EMI caused by what you said, sh$!y ribbon cables. Show4Pro talked about it earlier. Read my above quoted post from earlier in this thread.

It's definitely the cables, I used some foam between the cables to keep them seperated as much as the space allows and my cards now work fine, before that i was only able to ever get one card working. I plan to order some EMI shield tape to replace the foam eventually.

Proper EMI shielded PCI-E cables are not that expensive and will look much better IMHO. I linked some above in response to Mr.Biggums question.

The 3M cables are around a 100 dollars each and hard to find in stock but they do look quality, most moddiy stuff is straight from china and at 40 bucks a piece kind of a gamble to find out its not any better, I think a 10 dollar roll of tape is a reasonable thing to try first.

Great point! I really like those 3M cables but they are pricey! I bet you could hide that tape easily enough so its not seen.

I'm just more annoyed that I bought the second cable now, being in canada and being forced to buy the dam cable from the states with canadian funny money being worthless.
glad i got the case when i did dispite everything its gone up by $50 here since i bought it.

Thanks for the links i'm going to try and track some proper cables down for when I upgrade come summer time, don't want to take apart my loop for the third time.

mana make sure to post back if you get the tape to work it would be a nice cheap solution and im sure ita possible to make it look good.
