Thermaltake Core P5 Owners' Club - Page 24

I really, REALLY like how the riings look on both sides of the rad.

I am impressed with how you guys hide these cables. I'm really close to rebuilding mine and cant decide between the Nano and Fury X. Either one will require clever cable management because the card hides some motherboard front panel connectors.

The Water 3.0 Series AIO do not fit on the Core P5 in it factory condition, only a single 120mm AIO turned tube side by CPU will work for the most part.

We have been working with our teams to come up with a nice option for our customers to use AIO coolers on the Core P5.

Here is a sneak peak of the Core P5 AIO Bracket kit.

This will shift the mounting to the left side allowing AIO solutions to mount easily and offers additional storage in a 3pc set.

More info coming soon, we should have this item available in the next few weeks.

Appreciate any feedback!

+1 Thank you ThermalMike for your help. Good info too.

Also I copied your suggestions and will apply them when my case arrives! thumb.gif

First you did an awesome job. You built the PC YOU wanted and accomplished it. It doesn't matter what anyone says.
If they think it should be done differently then let them build it.

It's so hard when you pour everything you have into a build and someone criticizes it. It feels like them are blatantly critiquing you as a person. But what you toiled with forever they judged in under sixty seconds.

Be proud of what you built and remember when you see builds where you might have done something differently to be gentle and guide them even when it seems obviously bad.

Just in case anyone else out there needs to hear it like I did. biggrin.gif

You did an awesome job and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You should be proud. That build looks fricking great! wink.gif

We have many awesome builds with the Core P5. You guys inspire me and give me great hope for my own project. biggrin.gif

The reason I mostly went with the Core P5 is because at first I was going to do a Black/White HAF-X build. But the work required and most specifically the computer downtime put me off from starting it.

But when I saw the Core P5 I thought, this is it. This is the case I want. If I can paint it a nice matt white and do finally my Black/White theme, that would be absolutely great!

The cover is moved back from the power supply by about 2-3 cm, so the intake fan PSU forms have more then enough space to get fresh air smile.gif

Mlody: are you a pro painter? I ask because I have spray paint, but I've never painted anything before, so I'm not sure if I should spray the P5 or not. I don't want to ruin it. Did you just paint right over the black?

Some sandpaper, primer, a nice white spray paint and finally add some love to it and will look great. biggrin.gif

I have them all here, waiting for the P5. thumb.gif

No I`m not smile.gif I painted couple of times something with a spray, but my Core P5 was painted at my friend car paint using gun smile.gif
Before painting it was sanded a little bit.

So did you just spray right over the black, or was there some prep work, stripping of the old paint / power coat? Forgive me for the barrage of questions, but that white looks so good I HAVE to have mine in white now!

Core P5 is originally powder coded from what I know, so you can just degrease the surface and paint it. But it is always good to make some preparation, maine was sanded a little and degrease before the painting.
