[Various] New Corsair 600C/600Q, Inverted ATX Full Tower - Page 32

this might be my first attempt of running a WC loop, with a bayres

Both radiator are 45mm thick.

No I´m running my system aircooled in the 600c, but the matx mainboard looks quite lost in this case.
SSD/HDD are in the 5.25 bracket from silverstone which can house 4x 2.5" drives AND a slim Slot-in odd.
That tiedies up the wiring mess in the case.

Quick photoshop but the black ends/corners/strips would remain black.

I'm planning to do some company builds that I might actually water cool with custom stuff. I know crazy..

Anyways I'm seriously considering this case for the builds but white suits the company office better then black. So if we don't get white for this case soon I suppose I can vinyl wrap it since it has so much flat surface instead of getting to crazy and taking them down to a shop to be powder coated.

It`s 2016 can we stop pretending that anyone actually cares about 5.25 and 3.5" bays exclamation.gif
post #314 of 382
I do care, and about both. 3.5" bays primarily for storage but also for devices like the NZXT Hue+ and Corsair Link. 5.25" for controllers, reservoirs and in my case also some optical drives smile.gif

But I am aware this is very quickly becoming a minority opinion for enthusiast cases aimed at the developed world, so I would love to see removable bays become a standard feature on cases.

That should have been done with this case.

Yep, it should become a standard! I always end up removing/cutting out the 5.25 and 3.5 bays/cages from all my cases. Luckily, most newer cases offer alternatives to installing SSDs and HDDs in either inconspicuous areas, or very conspicuous, like showcasing the SSDs in the main compartment, below the motherboard and/or in front of it.

The only way I would consider the 600 is if it allowed for two 360 rads, like the 750D (modded) which with the front 5.25s removed does. I think the side vents should go all the way up along the front and the bays should have been removable.

I agree that 3.5" bays still have their place for storage in some cases, like full towers or nas style cases.
But for controllers, the newer corsair controller doesnt use 3.5" bays anymore and the hue+ uses 2.5". I dont think there are any relevant controllers that use 3.5" bays.

As for 5.25" bays, maybe one shallow removable one for a controller might be useful. But the big optical drives are a thing of the past, the few users that still require one can just use an external enclosure.
And 5.25" reservoirs only seem to exist because people weren't using their 5.25" bays anyway.

Not yet.

But more to the point, I was speaking more in general about 3.5" bays that also serve to hold 2.5" devices. Although this again is again more and more uncommon with dedicated 2.5" device slots.

Who knows, maybe we'll go back to using 3.5" (floppy) bays. tongue.gif

I still use my Blu Ray Player constantly to rip my movies and put them on my media server. I also have 2 3.5inch 2TB drives in Raid-0 as my local storage. I cant use a case if it does not have room for a Blu Ray player and room for some 3.5 inch drives.
