Going over 4.3 as I said is not possible 4 me........ At 1.37v i get 70-75 degrees and at 4.2@1.27 i never get over 60. For me is more than enough. I only play BF1 and mi TI FE runs 2050 with no throttle and i can run almost every map of BF1 at 160(capped at 158) Gsynced frames...

And i said again and thats what i did the other day..... I can boot at 4.4 and open BF1 and play for a short time..... nothing more..... no even at 1.47v...... I dont want to push any more higher than that.... is not necessary at all!!!

Cheers
same. although i have been going at 4.3 i have a well enough cooled system. Several noctua F-12s in there keeping it breezy.

My 5775C is coming to me tomorrow with Grizzly Kryonout wheee.gif

Can't wait to push this baby. I just need to remember to hit DEL before boot because BIOS still has 4790k settings up rolleyes.gif

I am aiming at 4.3.

I could run 5.0Ghz 1.37V 4790k with crappy paste with Corsair H105 and it was hitting only 78C at most in BF1.

Will squish that little monster tomorrow hehe biggrin.gif.

Also my 1080Ti will finally be here tomorrow too so perfect!! thumb.gif

Mate, 4.2 5775C in games is on pair and even better sometimes than 5.0Ghz 7700k.

Slap to that CL9 2133Mhz DDR3 or CL10 2400Mhz DDR3 and you can wreck every other 4 core

FACTS

oh, btw, i am running 67c-70c flicking back and forth sitting at 4.3Mhz @1.375v core. Still cooler than my 4790k @ 4.8, and dumps on it in every test and game. Oh, and my average power consumption is WAY down. This this sips volts in idle, lik 11w power draw, and the Ti is at ~24w , so at idle I am less than half of my previous idles power draw. My electric bill will appreciate it. Things pay for themselves @ 14nm(wife ammo).

My 4790k takes 1.38 volts to get 4.7 >.>

So this is actually tempting. But idk if I can justify spending $370 for this. None used on ebay

you can sell the 4790k for $300+. opportunities like this are super rare. A whole platform performance worth of upgrade for $70.
