45 min of OCCT with AVX pass so look like it should be stable almost for sure. Temps bellow 75c on single 240 rad.

How much is it worth to push more that cache? 1,3V is max for 24/7 ?

Yes, 1.3V is considered max for cache. I wouldn't go higher. 4.2 is already 5.0Ghz 7700k performance so anything more is just not worth higher V imo of course.

GOD, I love this CPU biggrin.gif

i havent but i passed 4 hours of battlefiled One with 98%+ gpu usage and 80%+ cpu usage throughout tongue.gif (shader cache off in nvidia cp actually gives me a frame bump but ups cpu usage%. doesnt cap still though).

Try to test in all night if you can.

btw. what is speed and voltage of your ram?
im running 2400 c-10 @ 1.65. i did run it at 2133 c-9 @ 1.5v for awhile and both seem fine. I was having some crashing which actually probably was uncore voltage, vccn, or core volts at the time when i switched it to 2400 c-10 1.65v, i also tweaked a couple other things and have been stable since. It scores a little higher like this but im not 100% comfortable with 1.65v ram on what's supposed to be ddr3L @ 1.35v on these. Mobo is obviously finr with it but is the cpu's memory controller good with it long term? That I don't (but wish i did) know.

I asked already that question. Answer may interest you :

I never run stress test more than one hour, if cpu pass that, than I try to run for short time few games. For example, Starcraft 2 crush very quickly if there is no enough voltage.

@Slackaveli

I'm having 2x4GB + 2x8GB G.Skill Trident 2400Mhz CL10. I already noticed that my sample is kinda poor, but even for "defalut" with XMP profile I got OCCT error without crash after 1 hour. Next try and it pass 8 hours. Tested RAM with MemTest86 more then 2 hours and zero errors.

4,2 @ 1,35V It pass like one hour of witcher 3 + gta V but in linx or occt it's crashing after few sec. 4,1@ 1,308V or 1,33V crash after 2-3 hours of OCCT.

Weird thing is that for 4,2 @ 1,35V CPU: Linpack with AVX didn't rly crash like for linx or CPU: OCCT. Maybe it is something with 4 sticks of ram. I'm not sure, but it pass 2 hours of MemTest86. Just weird... Maybe I will try do it with 2.

Starcraft 2 very hard for CPU?
I know, his used 1 thread, exactly 1.5 (windows also take part) - but was strong...
Firstly hear.
Anybody test on SC2?

I don't know if it is my AIO or CPU but after Overclocking it I am hearing a rattling sound from CPU/AIO area during heavy CPU usage load. It is like high electril rattling sound. Fans are not hitting anything.

What can cause something like that? My 4790K did not had anything like this, but it was only 1.27V. Can it be related to CPU voltage? Currently at 1.35V on it 4.2 Ghz.

Temps are fine (topping 75 after few hours of BF1), just this sound makes me worry.

My Radiator CPUs are connect to CPU_FAN header with custom curve enabled. My AIO pump is connected to PSU for 12V input.

There is no noise in idle or low CPU load, only in heavy load (like map loading on BF1, or intense battle in BF1 MP).
