well, i guess i should mention i was on 3.7uncore 4.2core on those lol. That's a nasty score, dude. And an amazing Broadwell. Wish I could hold 4.4/4.0; that really is extraordinary right there.

Dayum, 4.2ghz broadwell beating 5ghz kaby? That reminds me of how Pentium M was beating both the Pentium 4 and Athlon 64 at much lower clocks back in the day. Finding this out makes me really want to build a PC with a 5775c and sell my current i7-3770K platform. What would be the absolute best-est motherboard to use with an i7-5775c? Asus Maximus VII Formula? MSI Z97 XPower AC? Gigabyte Z97X-SOC? Something else? FYI I'm using Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 for the 3770K which is the absolute bestest motherboard for socket 1155, so I'd like to replace it with equally epic board if Im gonna go 1150.

If you're looking at Micro ATX, then the Maximus VII Gene's the best.

Just an FYI, The SupremeFX Impact is garbage.

nah, I don't care about onboard audio, I'm using Auzen X-Fi HomeTheater HD, so I'm going for full ATX motherboards to make sure theres enough breathing room between the graphics card and the sound card

but I'm indeed leaning towards the maximus VII formula, as the gigabyte z97x-SOC seems to be much lower end than my current Z77X-UP7, and I hear the MSI Z97 XPower has quality control issues? I also saw some bad opinions about the evga z97 classified here and there, but still havent seen any negative comments about the asus

which I guess leaves the question of whether I'll even be able to sell my current motherboard and cpu for a good price, as I did pay quite a lot for them

Everybody seems to end up at 4.2-4.3, with the two cats running 4.4 being the exceptions, lately regardless of motherboard. These cpu's are beasts.

@Veg28 i just cant figure out how you are getting scores that high, my corsair dominator Plats are the came timings and everything. Your Broadwell is just an animal. Center die "heart" sample.
