I changed title to Amd R9 380 / 380X Owners Discussion Thread. It doesn't require any rules other than being an owner and / or honestly interested in owning one.

If you'd like to start a club, a member would have to create an OP with information and way to enroll members along with willing to keep owners list updated.

Feel free to edit your OP and put all the info you'd like on these GPU's.

So this will be the place where owners can post pics of their 380's and 380X's along with benchmarks, FPS in games, over clocking, and general questions.

I don't own the MSI so I can't speak to its capabilities exactly, but my PowerColor 380 had no problems matching my 380x at 1050/1500 with 20% power limit allowance. I could do more with voltages but haven't had the time to put any attempts in just yet.

msi afterburner? ok.... only power limit allowance? no core voltage?

Yes, using AB. As I said, I just haven't had the time to do more than my initial overclock on the card though I intend to when I finish sorting a few other projects. Just a quick check on what I could get out of her at stock voltage.

Some benchamarks to see what's under the hood might spark others to compare theirs.

i have this one

It was between this one and the msi.

I regret my desition, this one is too noisy. anything over 50% fan speed is anoying. to keep the temp under 70º the fan spins at 55%.

Another thing i dont like is that it throttle even at stock clocks, i had to push the power limit to +20 to fix this.

My current OC is 1050/1550. 1100/1600 is completly stable but i lower it a little for better temps.

Uh oh. I just ordered this one. I don't plan on OC'ing it though. Plan to leave it stock for now. Hmm...guess we will see.

I have the Gigabyte g1 r9 380 4gb version since late July, I have tried oc it but whenever I ran benchmarks my fps would be a little worse.
I think the problem with throttling is due to the cards bios but my core clock started underclocking alot since I installed the crimson drivers.
And another problem I had recently with the card is that the "windforce" logo led just died and the "silent" and "stop" work fine.

Ouch. This is one of the things that almost made me ignore AMD...the ongoing driver issues. Seems like I always hear horrible stories about AMD drivers even years back when they were ATI. Is there a particular driver version I should start with? Or just go with the latest and see what happens? My card is scheduled to arrive next Wednesday.
