Zowie get omrons! - Page 41

At this point they really should just properly re-release them. Redo the shell to properly align or whatever with omrons and add the 3360. I don't see them releasing a 3360 mice for another 9 months otherwise

Yea it definitely sucks. I haven't heard of anybody having major problems with the new Zowies that's why I went ahead and got it.

Yeah, I find that very odd. I didn't hear one complaint about the double clicking, yet the scroll wheel problem that was rampant in their other models never had a recall. Maybe because it's a very new product, who knows.

It's probably not a super widespread problem, but it's probably common enough they're just nipping this in the bud rather than deal with a bunch of RMAs going forward. Like the mousewheel skipping issue was probably something that didn't bother most people enough to actually return the mouse, but double clicking is something that people will send back almost all the time. And Zowie seems sensitive to returns given Amazon stopped carrying their mice for a while and seem to be late to the party whenever a new one is released (Amazon is ridiculously lax with returns and that probably caused strife with Zowie just like it did Nintendo a while back)

I wish they would just fix the mice instead of "patching them over and over again". Idgaf if I have to wait 4 months the current white version of the fk 2 is good enough and I love the stiff clicks (main reason why I use it) but they need to fix the garbage buttons and the scrollwheel along with improving button latency.

Im going to order some extra older zowies so if anyone has a fk 2 white that they dont want pm me and we can chat prices.

Sorry for everyone who bought these has to go through this process.

At least they did the right things by recalling them and admitting product fault. Whether you like Zowie or not it shows integrity they care about their products and not provide garbage. So kudos given there.

Having said this I did not like the Omrons in the new BenQ Zowie as I'm new to Huanos and actually like them. Huanos aren't used in many mice. So this was nice alternative and I like the distinct clicks in FPS with my current ZA12.

Where before I had doubt in the new Zowie BenQ merger as positive, I now second-guess myself.

I also didn't like the idea of embroidered mouse pads on the new BenQ GSR and what they did, but that's for another thread.

Should I just buy the EC1-A white version now before they all sell out? lol

I complained about it in another thread. My EC2 developed double clicks in less than 2 days.

These models are prob going to be really expensive on the aftermarket once the current stock is gone, as they won't be making them anymore.

Welp, the omron experiment is over apparently.

I don't know why they never expected this after not changing the shell design.
