I guess I should formally introduce myself.

Hi. My name is SynnTx, and I'm an active PC building addict. (everybody says hi synntx). I'm also a broke PC building addict, so......yea.....

I'm relatively new to PC building and tinkering, but I'm a quick learner have been pretty handy with computers and technology in general ever since I was taking apart my SNES as a kid and watched my dad home build the first computer I ever touched at the ripe old age of 8. I still remember the soft texture of those 5.25 floppys that took hours to install Wing Commander and the frustration of navigating DOS. My fiance hates that my rig gets more of my attention than she does, but I reassure her that this hobby is cheaper than cars (another love of mine), and she should be grateful I'm not devoting this time to another woman (yeah, that went over well).

I now realize my sheer love for the PC, specifically, and wish I had majored in Computer Sciences as opposed to Criminal Justice. In college, some of my favorite courses were Intro to Physics (astronomy focused) and Stars and Galaxies. I loved these courses just because of how mind blowing the cosmos are. Now that I've self edified with regard to things like integrated circuits, silicon, capacitors, VRMs, et al, I see the marvel that mankind has engineered. The micro-processor is nothing short of an astonishing, mind boggling achievement, and it's complexity and simplicity is fascinating to me.

Born and raised in Texas. Been a gamer since 16 bit. No kids, newly engaged. As you may have guessed from my avatar, I'm a member of the Thin Blue Line. Feel free to ask me all the burning questions in the world that you may have about my career. A pipedream of mine is actually to get into the technological integration of law enforcement market, but law school must come first. My rig is listed in sig, but here is my pcpartpicker build.

And that's pretty much me.
