Replace Cosair A70?

Thread Starter
I have a Corsair A70 that I'm currently using with my 6600k. This is a bit of an older cooler and I'm wondering if its time to replace it or not. I'm wondering if its worth it to buy a new cooler at what price point?

My current case is also pretty old at this point.. It's a ThermalTake Armor (no windows, weighs ~30lbs afaik).

Corsair A70 is still viable cooler, unless your temps is poor. Next step is go custom loop with a new case.

the next step up from aio coolers is a custom loop pretty much man. And its not exactly cheap either.

The Corsair A70 is a single tower / 4 heat pipe heat sink. Its not keeping my 6600k as cool as ot seems like the others are in the statistics thread. Those nocturas look so big. I'm thinking about an H80i GT now.. I would like to have space to work with inside of the PC.

go h110 honestly. But that is just my opinion. Im personally not a fan of aio coolers as the noctua d15 beats out most of them.

Stay away from AIO. They are not worth it.
If you want to go liquid, then look at the Swiftech H220-X / H240-X or EK Predator 240/360

If you do not have room Swiftech has the H140-X single 140mm rad.

Sorry, but I disagree.
My next step would be to get a proper air cooler and supply it with nice cool air.

I see no point in spending 4-10 times what a good air cooler costs on a custom loop when I can run my i7 980 @ 4.4 GHz at just over 70c when stress testing.
