Problems with H80i GT solved by the customer care. Now the H80i GT is awesome on a 140W+ CPU.

Hi,
In the previous year I bought a Corsair H80 aio, after six months it failed and I asked an RMA for it.

I received a new H80i GT and now it failed again.
Pump does not start and I cannot use the PC.

This is the second unit that fails after less than a year, now I have no time to wait for the long RMA process and I don't want to pass my holidays without my PC.

For this reason I will bought a third unit.
Unfortunately h80i GT is the only decent 120mm aio that fits my case and that can give me temp under 90c.

This is my last two cent on this brand.
I always had problem with it, broken SSD (they returned a refurbished one), broken pump, leaking pump, don't working pump.

They try to make you pay the return shipping, from italy return shipping is about 80€.

From my experience AIO from Corsair are not reliable at all, they broke after few months, if it doesn't leak before.
Customer service is bad, they answer after days, every next answer requires days, they charge for shipping cost if you don't complain it on the forum.

Bad products and bad warrenty. this is corsair.

EDIT: Problem seems to be solved now. I RMAed my unit and is now working very well. On a 5930K @1.28V core and 1.94V input voltage I get a maximum of 71c on the hottest core while running real bench with two open air GTX980 Ti in a middle tower case

In my sincere opinion... every company currently around is like that. I have been using a Corsair H50 in a friends computer that I used for 2 years and its been in his system for another 1 1/2. I got a H100i in my wife system for the past year and half as well... Prior to my water cooling I also had a H110 that I still got it around for testing builds and what not... So maybe just a streak of bad luck there for ya?

But anyways name one company around that will pay for shipping costs without you arguing with them? And a company that if you don't call (assuming they got a phone customer service) and go to the forums to hunt their guys that will answer your requests in a timely manner?

Its the industry standard from my previous experience.

I think their products can and do fail (what products don't), but their CS is something that is nice if you speak to the right people and in an appropriate way. They sent me a pre-paid shipping address as I was not able to ship out my AIO when it failed on me due to the local regulations on shipping items that contain any liquid. I explained my stance and they sent me a pre-paid address (what ever its called) and replaced that one with a newer model. You might have had bad luck with their products, but their CS is not bad. Have you tried to get in touvh with some of the reps on this forum ? i tried in the past and even they were helpful.

Not really. I directly launched an RMA request from their website and they replied periodically with regards to validating the purchase. But once it was done, they sent me an RMA form to ship the box to, but due to the restriction here, I got in touch with the reps here. Thankfully, even they were not bothered as their RMA staff took care of that by issuing me a pre-paid ticket.

Well where you bought your stuff from? If it is from reseller then the reseller should handle your warranty and shipping without any additional charges. As long as your item is replaced under warranty under timely matter you can not claim that they have bad warranty. I do not want to defend Corsair because they replaced 4 times My defective AIO H100 and on the fifth time i got H100i GTX. I own many of their products and i am quite happy with them.

I've had issues with 2 of their products. TX750 PSU and H80, but for me, the CS was painless. Easy and quick RMA.

The H80/ H100 simply had design/ manufacturing problems, I believe all of their AIO coolers since then have been much more robust.

Are you in the USA? Every country would probably have a different CS department.

From my experience, though, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one of their components.

I've had an H50 since they were released and it is still in service today in my cousins PC and its still pumping strong. I've also had their HX850 since launch and it's still my current PSU in my PC now. I think you just had a string of bad luck.

Remember that arguing with CS isn't the easiest way around to get them to pay for shipping. Keep calm and just talk to them like any other human being and the CS rep will honestly do whatever it is you need to have done.

The only issue I've had of recent from them is a few of my SP120s have bearing rattle and the CS rep emailed me a shipping slip back to them and even went ahead to next day ship me the amount of fans I needed to replace and gave me a few days to return the old ones back.

I always recommend Corsair to any of my friends who are interested in an AIO cooler who can't spend the $200+ to pick up something expandable like the EK predator or build their own loop.

if you replaced your AIO 4 times means that they sell unreliable components, nothing more.

I mean, I know people who have replaced an EVGA, ASUS, GIGABYTE (motherboards, power supplies, video cards) product over and over and over, but that doesn't mean that they sell "unreliable" components. It's honestly a mixture of bad luck and a bad batch of products. It happens to the best of companies, if all companies were perfect then there would be no need for a CS line, warranty and RMA assistance.
